I just entered my EDID using xcode plist editor. Make sure you restore permissions and such, I used the osx86tool app emptying kext cache etc before it worked ok.

first of all i really appreciate your work . You are very kind to show as Noobs many many things
with your atiinject and all the other kexts i have managed to have my x1600 working at 1440x900 in my laptop panel
the only problem is that qe is not working quite well .
i have transparent menu , i mean completely transparent , and all other effects that rely on qe fail
like the ripple effect on widget or screen savers or showview etc.
i think it might have to do something with opengl framework.
i have tried forcing qe with osxtools even though in system profiler says supported
but nothing
any solutions i'm open ...
i use ipc 10.5.6

Wondering if anyone got firegl v5250 to work with multi-monitor support. Mine is working perfectly, except the multi monitor support. Does anyone have any pointers on this? thanks

Hi, I've got a ATI Radeon x1650 PRO 256mb dual DVI that i've got working but cannot get the second monitor to work on. Do you think this atiinject.kext will help me at all? I must admit i'm not sure what the kext does as the info on it is littered around a bit!

Any help would be really appreciated!

I would be much apreciated if you could send me the file. I tried the rapidshare link, but it was gone by now. I'm on an nx9420, and needing the driver for the mobility x1600.

I'm completely new here, but I too have X1300 mobility in my T60, is this confirmed working in snow?

Got the same problem. Except it's just black without stripes. It's not crashes as I can access the PC with SSH.

Any plans on making the ATIinject compatable with the Snowleopard ATIFramebuffer?

This kext works great in SL but i have to remove ATIFrameBuffer.kext and replace with ATINDRV.kext from Leopard to have a fully working system.

Hello. I have an Acer TravelMate 8210. Got everything accept wifi and 1024x1050 Graphics. Im stuck here with 1024x768. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 256mb onboard card and ive tried this method. All other one result in black screen but i put my EDID in the ATIinject.kext and so on, Rebooted without a black screen but no change to the graphics out of the 5 laptops iv'e had this has been the closest. Please help me! are there any other options? or is it if i can't get this method to work i'm screwed as iv'e spent days on this! gahh lol, id buy a macbook pro but i have no money id do anything.
