Cephrus
I've been wanting to get a hackintosh set up on my machine for quite some time. I had tried to get 10.11 working, but I can't seem to find a working audio driver, so I wanted to try 10.10. However, I missed it on the App Store and thus had to download it elsewhere. The download location didn't have the .app file; only InstallESD.dmg. I was wondering if it is possible to create bootable media using solely this as there isn't anything but .mpkg files and other stuff in it (nothing like a bootable drive looks like). I'm both relatively new to both Mac OS X and Hackintosh, so this question may be stupid and/or already answered already.
PippoX0
Follow the guide on forum. It is well explained how to install OSX Yosemite. You have to create an USB booting pen. Btw if the problem is only audio on 10.11 , you can easily fix it. Usb3.0 Ports are more difficult to fix ... See Ya
