  1. I can very easily get 10.11 to install and start on my computer (Intel i7-4770, GA-Z87X-UD3H). Expectedly, my audio is not working, so I installed the ALC898 driver in the Clover guide and restarted my computer. This is where the issues start. Installing the audio driver broke my internet, connected through the ethernet port on the back of my computer. I couldn't test the audio driver because iTunes didn't play any audio file (clicking play changed the button to pause, but it never started playing). I went back into the Clover post-install and installed a network driver for my mobo. I rebooted, and my computer hangs on the NTFS initialization. There is no error; just it saying that NTFS couldn't mount.
  2. I've been wanting to get a hackintosh set up on my machine for quite some time. I had tried to get 10.11 working, but I can't seem to find a working audio driver, so I wanted to try 10.10. However, I missed it on the App Store and thus had to download it elsewhere. The download location didn't have the .app file; only InstallESD.dmg. I was wondering if it is possible to create bootable media using solely this as there isn't anything but .mpkg files and other stuff in it (nothing like a bootable drive looks like). I'm both relatively new to both Mac OS X and Hackintosh, so this question may be stupid and/or already answered already.

    Chameleon Reboot Loop

I managed to get an error of verbose. Just before reboot chameleon reads: efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata Any ideas?

    Chameleon Reboot Loop

I tried patching the kernel but it didn't work. I used the Haswell patch in the installer you linked and also Frank Nitty's here, but Chameleon still reboots on startup. I don't really know which version of Chameleon it is either. EasyBCD seems to boot to one it installs on my Windows drive in the NST folder.
  5. I recently installed OS X 10.9 to my computer, and configured it to dual boot Windows 7 using EasyBCD. Whenever I try to boot OS X from the boot menu, Chameleon doesn't boot the installation. However, a USB with Chameleon will boot the installation just fine. Trying to boot with -v will allow me to see it loading the HFS+ files, but then it reboots, without any sign of verbose text. Booting without verbose gives a half-second flicker of the Apple boot screen before restarting. The computer build is: Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H Processor: Intel Haswell i7 3.5Ghz Quad Core Graphics: EVGA GeForce GTX660 S2 2GB GDDR5
  6. I recently built a computer and put a 3tb HDD in it. Because of MBR, Windows excludes 1tb of the 3. So I thought, Why not fill the terribyte with OSX? So I went looking for kexts to support my build: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H Intel Core i7 Haswell 3.5Ghz EVGA GeForce GTX660 S2 2GB GDDR5 TrendNET TEW-643PI PCIe I cannot find a kext for the TrendNET internet card, and sadly the location of my computer cannot get an ethernet cable. I've heard of Lnx2Mac's Realtek driver but it says Lion and Sandy Bridge, and my processor is Haswell. Does anybody know of a driver for the TEW-643PI?
