  1. Hello. I am trying to install 10.13.4 to Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB. I have already well working on same drive 250 GB 10.13.2. Installation starting, I see progress bar, next as usual restarting and coninuing installation. And in one minute (estimated time still did not appear) I have this error... It says: Mac OS could not be installed on your computer Unable to complete operation (if I've translated correctly). (com.apple.osinstall, error -3) I've attached original log file I've saved from there and also attaching it into the spoiler below, screen photo is under the spoiler. Have no idea what it could be, apfs.efi is latest version for 10.13.4, fakesmc is latest, other clover files and config are just the same as on working 10.13.2, clover version latest 4439 (10.13.2 loading well from this efi also). Please help, anybody know what it can be? Installer Log 04-08-18.txt
  2. Hi I am try to install High Sierra, as per ##### I have have successfully booted from the install usb drive and have booted into "Install macOS High Sierra". I had to add a boot flag (-no_compat_check) to the clover bootloader in order for the usb stick to boot properly. Also, at first I couldn't see the SSD drive in disk utility, but I fixed that by asking disk utility to show all drives. Onto the current problem. I am having major issues trying to install High Sierra to a NVMe SSD. When I run "Install macOS High "Sierra" I get the following error: "The version of macOS installed on this mac is newer than the version you are trying to install. When a new update is available, you can install it from the Updates plane in the Mac App Store. If you want to reinstall macOS, please use macOS recovery." Also, It doesn't matter if the startup volume is formatted as APFS or HFS+. If I format the drive using GPARTED on linux, the installer just says the startup volume doesn't have journaling enable. If I then run disk utility and enable journaling on the startup volume, then go back to the installer, I get the aforementioned error msg. I have the following specs: i9-7900. Asus Prime X299 Deluxe. ADATA 512GB NVMe SSD. How do I fix this issue?
  3. Hello everyone, Greetings from Brazil! I'm getting a kernel panic at the macOS High Sierra install process. Any ideas on what could be happening? Please refer to attached pictures. 4. Hi, so this is an issue I have put off for a while by just selecting the windows drive to boot. My Clover bootloader, UEFI, cannot load my Windows installations. Those are set to boot legacy, so I can understand that. But I cannot get legacy Clover working! When I install it to my drive and set that to boot, it just goes straight to the Windows installation. I think it has to do with the boot1 / 6 type error where it's just redirecting it to Windows, because that's all that happens. In Summation- UEFI Clover-can't boot Windows Legacy Clover-forwarded to another boot drive Something something active partition? Happy new year and thank you for your time, I appreciate any help!

Hello Guys! First sorry for bad English. I am a newbie in the hackintosh world. I want use macOSX very bad. But I don't know how can I start. If you help me I would be grateful. There is my laptop information. 8. Hi all, I'm following this guide to install 10.13 to my 8700k build. Specs are as follows 8700k Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 Rev 1 Gskill Trident z 32gb 3000 EVGA 1080ti sc2 Samsung 850 evo 500gb I've made a bootable usb following this guide and added the EFI from the thread at the top of this post. I've edited smbios to be imac 18,3, updated Fake SMC to 3.5.1, am using the latest clover 4318 followed this guide to enable Nvidia gpu. Kexts are already in the “other” folder, removed EMUVariableUEFi. Used Clover Configurator to generate new serial and smuuid and made sure ff and ffm were not zeroes. I've tried this whole process at least a half dozen times in slightly different ways each time. Furthest I've gotten is to the second stage of the install, after the first reboot and the creation of the recovery partition, the installer hangs and gives a somewhat generic error message saying something along the lines of "Mac OS High Sierra can not be installed on this computer. Run Apple Diagnostics." Checking the install log and I find one error that seems to be of note regarding a failed extraction of Core.pkg if memory serves [was doing this late at night]. Can any one of you gurus provide any help? I really appreciate any help!
  9. Hello there! I'm trying to install High Sierra in VMware Fusion for a command line driven Vagrant box, in order to make it easier to compile applications for macOS. I actually managed to automate macOS installation entirely with PC-compatible keyboard input in https://www.packer.io/, so that's pretty cool I guess. Unfortunately, the boot after SetupAssistant fails: Trace Installing: About 15 minutes remaining ... Installing on "Macintosh HD" ... An error occurred installing macOS. To use Apple Diagnostics to check your Mac hardware, shut down, press the power button, and immediately hold the 'D' key until diagnostics begins. Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again. Restart Screenshots System Specs Guest OS: macOS 10.13 High Sierra Host OS: macOS 10.13 High Sierra Hypervisor: VMware Fusion 10 Physical hardware: mid-2013 13" MacBook Air Configuration VMX: https://gist.github.com/mcandre/df4a69809afb8103ef37ae32371c6e23 ISO generation scripts, packer configuration, and VMX settings are available as a work-in-progress "macos" branch in my packer templates repository: https://github.com/mcandre/packer-templates/tree/macos Mitigation steps attempted I've already tried: Re-generating the installer ISO image. Re-running the packer VM build. Tweaking VMX settings. Disabling SMC (which results in a VM that never finishes booting). Increasing virtual RAM to 4GB. Specifying the virtual hard drive as a solid state drive. Using VirtualBox (unfortunately, packer sends the wrong scancodes to VirtualBox for macOS guests, so packer + macOS guests + VirtualBox doesn't integrate very well at the moment). Pressing 'D' during boot (no change in behavior, no diagnostics displayed). If anyone else has experience getting macOS to boot in VMware, let me know how the VMX configuration can be improved, or if some kind of SMC toggling intervention is necessary to get the thing to boot better. I've already tossed so many hacks and workarounds into the mix that I'm starting to run out of ideas I'm new to hackintoshing, so I'm not sure if I'm missing some critical VMX configuration, or perhaps if High Sierra introduces further complications compared to earlier editions of macOS. Or even if an alternative EFI bootloader (Clover?) is necessary, I just don't know. I'd prefer to install macOS with as vanilla/default a configuration as possible. ( Also posted to Reddit just in case. https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/7gaebu/vmware_high_sierra_an_error_occurred_installing/ )

  11. I just installed Yosemite with Clover using a guide by a guy named rampage. It worked well and Yosemite works great, but it will only boot when I have the install USB plugged in. When I unplug the USB Yosemite gets stuck at the infamous Bluetooth error. Sounds to me like there is something - maybe video related - on the USB stick that didn't get moved to the OS drive but I'm not sure what that is. Does anyone know where to point me on this one?
  12. So, I'm at my wits end here hoping some clever Mac-wizards can help me find a solution. Apologies for a long post, but let me start at the beginning. I could not find a suitable forum as this pertains to both install and post-install. Anyhow... A while ago I decided to make a fresh install of Sierra. I had been running it for quite a while, through several updates, and figured it would be nice to start fresh. I've done this many times in the past, with the same installation media, with the same procedure and on the same hardware. Got everything installed OK. Did the post-install with Rampagedev's X99.dmg, installed the latest version of Clover. Aaand, I can't boot from the EFI on my SSD. It only works. when booting from the USB-stick. From the SSD I only get to: After that the computer just hangs or reboots. I've tried with OsxAptioFixDrv, OsxAptioFix2Drx and OsxAptioFixDrv-free2000. Same thing, except OsxAptioFixDrv actually gives a memmap error. Tried updating BIOS to the latest version with no difference. I have also replaced my old GTX 970 with a 1080 Ti. I tried copying the EFI from the USB-stick to the EFI on the SSD. Same thing - it just won't boot. Except once or twice, running very unstable. Booting from the USB is no walk in the park either. It fails frequently, though later in the process (at seemingly random stages). Sometimes it fails to load the webdriers, other times it freezes at the login screen. Network connection is sometimes barely usable and Safari is very unresponsive. Kind of odd for a machine that's been running well for a long time and an installation procedure I've relied upon many times. Trying to re-install Sierra works equally bad. Now I get tons on "Sandbox violation" errors. Even if the installer starts is usually unusable. Like, can't use disk utility or actually start the installation. I just get the spinning wheel. I've checked the BIOS, disabling CSM and secure boot as well as VT-D. Makes no difference. Reverted back to optimized defaults. Same thing. Something is clearly messed up, and for the life of me I can't figure out what. And for the record, I'm running Windows without any issues. Hardware is stress-tested and memory seems to be running fine. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? Maybe you have some clever suggestion that I haven't tried yet? I have the following hardware: Asus X99-A I7 5820K Asus STRIX 1080 TI OC 16 Gb (4ch) Corsair Vengance LPX
  13. Hi I'm new to the forum. I was wondering if anybody can give me a decently detailed guide on installing macOS Sierra on my Lenovo Ideapad 300-15ISK. I do know a bit about computers such as the BIOS and stuff, by I really don't know anything about Macs and how they work. Also, can I dual boot my currently installed Windows 10 alongside macOS Sierra? The specs of my laptop are below: CPU: Intel Core i5-6200U (Skylake) RAM: 2 Hyundai Electronics 4GB DDR3 sticks Motherboard: Lenovo Paris 5A8 Wireless card: Intel Wireless AC 3165 WiFi + Bluetooth chip BIOS: Lenovo D5CN28WW Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 520 Link to my laptop's support page on Lenovo's site: http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/300-series/300-15isk/80q7?linkTrack=Homepage%3ABody_Search+Products&searchType=4&keyWordSearch=300-15ISK%2520Laptop%2520%2528ideapad%2529%2520-%2520Type%252080Q7 Thanks.

  15. Hi guys, i and my friends are trying to get mac os high sierra to work, the first good news is that high sierra can be installed on hfs+, so for now we do not need drivers for the new file system in clover (but it will be helpful if clover developers add support for them), then, we are trying to get it to boot, at first attempt there is always the problem of mac kexts non injecting, so for now we need some fix in clover, we are trying to get the prelinked kernel with fake smc injected, form a mac to get to boot the system, we could do that so fast thanks to the fact that i own a developer account (if you are asking, i use it to distribute apps, not just for beta software), so we will keep you updated EDIT: Thanks to the new clover releases you do not need special stuff to get it to work, you just need the apps.efi driver in the clover's drivers 64 uefi folder to get it to boot on APFS (don't use apfs on a standard hard disk, use it only on ssd), for web drivers on the dp 3 some the web driver from 10.12.6 modified with nvidia driver updater seems to work, and seems to be a native kabylake support too
  16. Hello guys! now that i have done with MaLd0n and some user´s help, some hackintosh , i want to start in the laptops world. I have read some guides, issues and things that happens with laptops, so i want to buy the best hardware that are in the market at May of 2017. 17. Lenovo Thinkpad L420 macOS Sierra Guide Thanks to the good old mighty Clover Bootloader, we have so much better support for laptops and different alternative hardware. I have made a few HackBook Pros but without a shadow of a doubt this Lenovo L420 is almost a perfect Apple computer. Even better in some aspects if you ask me about it. Lenovo theme on Clover in my L420 I will be quoting a good fellow of the community, tluck , who made an awesome guide for his Lenovo T420, and he also helped me achieve better functionality. Regards to you my friend. I have already written a guide for installing and perfecting Mac OS X El Capitan on this PC, but I wanted to see how good Sierra could run, and OH BOY it is running like a charm. Here are the specs of the machine. In my case I added 8GB of RAM. I understand this is not a highly popular laptop outside corporations, I don’t even know if it was ever sold to the general public, so I guess this post will help me know that hahah anyway a friend of mine gave me two of them, one with i5 another with i3. This tutorial applies to any of those models. It should also apply to older versions of Mac OS X all the way until Snow Leopard (little modifications required as well as appropriate kexts) What is working WiFi , Bluetooth, Airdrop (Wifi replaced with Atheros AR9285) Full QE/CI acceleration with integrated Intel HD3000 graphics Trackpad with 1 finger , 2 finger and 3 finger gestures keyboard as well as function keys (brightness, volume) Battery percentage Sleep, Shutdown and Reboot Sound working on ALC269 mobile DVD Drive DisplayPort audio and video VGA out USB 3.0 ExpressCard (Renesas) iMessage and Facetime Recovery Partition What is not working You tell me 1. Creating the install media The best way to install macOS to our Hackintosh is definitely to create a USB with the latest version of macOS Sierra (10.12.5 as of writing this guide) and to use the createinstallmedia method. For that you will need either a Macintosh computer, an existing Hackintosh or a Virtual Machine running OS X 10.6 or above. This way you will end up with a clean vanilla install , and with a recovery partition capable of booting and capable of using FindMyMac / FindMyiPhone I won’t go into too much details about this since this is one of the first things you should know when attempting to Hackintosh. This procedure is for a new macOS installation using a USB Installer. Download macOS from the App Store - it is freely available One can build a macOS USB installer with the standard macOS installer app downloaded from the "App Store". Download and extract the zip file from this post to build a Clover-based USB installer. This same bundle will be installed later on HD. Install macOS to a GPT formatted disk using the standard Install macOS.app downloaded from the Apple Store. Create a macOS USB installer Partition an 8GB (or larger) USB formatted with GUID Partition Table (GPT) - use the Partition Options... menu to change from MBR to GPT - Name the partition USB - the install process will rename it, but it matches the script below. - Use format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled) (formerly OS X Extended) Note: if you have a larger USB (say 16GB) you can split into 2 8GB partitions, so you can have 10.12 and 10.11 installers on the same USB key Run this command to copy the bits to the USB key: Note: if using an older version of macOS, replace with the corresponding app name. sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction 2. Install bootloader (Clover) to install media You should select your USB in the Clover installer and then hit “Customize” Select the next options: Install Clover in the ESP Install boot0ss in MBR Clover EFI 64bits SATA CSMVideoDxe-64 EmuVariableUEFI-64 OsxAptioFix2Drv-64 Fat64 3. Configuring the bootloader After installation is complete, the EFI partition we want to configure will already be mounted, so we proceed to open it and do the following Install HFSPlus.efi and NTFS.efi in drivers64UEFI folder and remove VboxHFS.efi. Because this PC doesn’t have any UEFI you should also install HFSPlus.efi and NTFS.efi to the drivers64 folder. Open the folder /EFI/Clover/kexts and delete all the folders starting by 10 and leave only the “other” folderIn the above mentioned “other” folder. Place the kexts that I will quote next (you can download the ones attached to the post, but I always recommend the latest versions) : ACPIBatteryManager.kext AppleALC.kext CodecCommander.kext FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext FakePCIID.kext FakeSMC, HWInfo, IntelCPUMonitor (HwSensors3 from Slice) GenericUSBXHCI.kext (only if you use an USB3.0 ExpressCard) RealtekRTL8111.kext USBInjectAll.kext VoodooPS2Controller.kext (tluck's version) L420 kextpack.zip Notes on VoodooPS2 (tluck) VoodooPS2Controller.kext (v1.8.25f) - New custom T420 version of RehabMans's PS2 Keyboad/TouchPad/TrackPoint - This version has extra T420 definitions in the Info.plist files. Tweaks to help with TrackPoint on startup Jakibaki's cut/paste fix for middle button + scrolling fix. if MiddeMouseScroll is set to true scrolling TrackPoint works. Sierra PrefPane integration and other fixes (smoothness and caps-lock) by usr-sse2 (see this post on GitHub) Modified Info.plist(s) to add LENOVO T420 override settings. TrackPad pressure FingerZ value set to 47 - up from default of 30 - change to suite your touch in VoodooPS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/VoodooPS2TrackPad.kext/Contents/Info.plist Various Default overrides such as MouseMultiplier X and Y for TrackPoint. Note: VoodooPS2Controller keyboard mappings have 3 or 4 finger swipe left/right to back/forward configured for Safari browser vs space swipe Optional Key Map: This map works in El Capitan. Since the NX keys are in a state of flux for Sierra - it is disabled by default now. If you would want to use this new map, edit the Info.plist file and rename the T420 key map entry. The F1-F15 key mappings are VoodooPS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/VoodooPS2Keyboard.kext/Contents/Info.key.plist: F1 - LCD Brightness Down F2 - LCD Brightness Up F3 - Mission Control App Selector F4 - Launchpad F5 - F6 - F7 - Mirror Displays F8 - Disable/Enable TouchPad F9 - F10 - Mute Volume F11 - Volume Down F12 - Volume Up PrtSc - Scan Previous Track ScrLck - iTunes Play/Pause Pause - Scan Next Track Insert - Eject After all the kexts are in the correct folder you should tweak your config.plist as follows, I recommend using a proper plist editor , the best is Xcode. config.plist.zip Lenovo mostly whitelist the Wifi cards on their laptops (and some desktops) so you will have to use a custom BIOS for this. There is one here luckily. If you need me to explain how to flash it then you shouldn’t really be Hackintoshing in the first place. After you have flashed the BIOS make sure you set the SATA controller to AHCI. You should be able to boot from the Clover USB and install Mac OS X Remember to use a GUID partition scheme for the drive you will use. Recovery partition should be generated automatically by the OS X installer. 4. Hopefully you boot and get to install macOS well. Boot Clover from USB Installer and select Install macOS Install the OS on your GPT disk on the macOS partition. Make sure the drive is formatted using: Scheme: GUID Partition Map (GPT) Partition Name: macOS Format: macOS Extended (Journaled) Dual BOOT tip: If you plan to dual boot Windows from the same HD - DO NOT make the 2nd partition NTFS or ExFAT with the Disk Utility app. Make them both "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" Size the 2 partitions appropriately - but later you will delete/reformat the 2nd partition for Windows. Click through GUI Install menus and wait for the installation to fully complete - on a spinning disk takes about 30-45 minutes. Follow these Notes and Tips: When the installer screens shows: "To pair a Bluetooth keyboard, turn it on and wait for your computer to connect to it.” Hit the Space Bar to get past this step. When installer seems to hang at: "About a second remaining” Don’t Panic, this "second" may take about 10 minutes or more to finish. Just wait for the installer to reboot the computer and continue the installation. The whole install process takes about 1 hour to complete. On the first boot from the HD when asked: "How Do You Connect?” Select: “My computer does not connect to the Internet” You can set up the network later after installation of the NIC driver kext. Your Intel WiFi will not work. Period. 5. Next you have to install the boot loader to the HDD You should select your USB in the Clover installer and then hit “Customize” Select the next options: Install Clover in the ESP Install boot0ss in MBR Clover EFI 64bits SATA CSMVideoDxe-64 EmuVariableUEFI-64 OsxAptioFix2Drv-64 Fat64 Install all RC scripts to target partition After installation is complete, the EFI partition we want to configure will already be mounted, so we proceed to open it and do the following Again we install HFSPlus.efi and NTFS.efi in drivers64UEFI folder and remove VboxHFS.efi. Because this PC doesn’t have any UEFI you should also install HFSPlus.efi and NTFS.efi to the drivers64 folder. Also copy your ACPI files and config.plist at the right places. 6. In order to get everything working properly , follow these guidelines for ACPI tables patching. Firstly, press F4 at Clover GUI in order to dump the native ACPI tables. You will most probably get a crash, a red screen full of weird black numbers and strange symbols, do not worry, just force shutdown. At the next boot if you look in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin you should have a bunch of files. After getting MaciASL and acpica tools from RehabMan (always updated) and installing them, and adding rehabman’s laptop dsdt patch repository, which is this: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch Delete all files except DSDT, SSDT-0 and SSDT-1 in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin You should decompile the DSDT , SSDT-0 and SSDT-1 using the following commands (make sure you create a .txt document containing the following external references and place it in the same place where the ACPI files are) External(MDBG, MethodObj, 1)External(_GPE.MMTB, MethodObj, 0)External(_SB.PCI0.LPCB.H_EC.ECWT, MethodObj, 2)External(_SB.PCI0.LPCB.H_EC.ECRD, MethodObj, 1)External(_SB.PCI0.LPCB.H_EC.ECMD, MethodObj, 1)External(_SB.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP.SGPO, MethodObj, 2)External(_SB.PCI0.GFX0.DD02._BCM, MethodObj, 1)External(_SB.PCI0.SAT0.SDSM, MethodObj, 4)External(_GPE.VHOV, MethodObj, 3)External(_SB.PCI0.XHC.RHUB.TPLD, MethodObj, 2) Then do: cd /path/to/your/filesiasl -da -dl -fe refs.txt *.aml After obtaining the .dsl files you should open them and check for errors. The only error you will find will be in one of the SSDTs and it can be fixed using the Remove _PSS placeholders patch to fix that SSDT that only contains info about the CPU and is full of “Package (0x06)” When your files are nice and clean and in .dsl format you can happily apply the following patches to DSDT Use the patch “Rename GFX0 to IGPU” Use the patch “Rename B0D3 to HDAU” Use the patch "DTGP" (easy to find with our buddy Google) Use the patch "Fix _WAK Arg0 v2" Use the patch "HPET Fix" Use the patch "SMBUS Fix" Use the patch "IRQ Fix" Use the patch "RTC Fix" Use the patch "OS Check Fix" Use the patch "Fix Mutex with non-zero SyncLevel" Use the patch "Add IMEI" Use the patch “6 Series USB” Use the patch "USB PRW 0x6D" Use the patch "Audio Layout id 3" Use the patch "L420 battery patch" For Brightness keys (Q14 and Q15 in DSDT) In Method _Q14 add at the end: Notify (PS2K, 0x0206)Notify (PS2K, 0x0286) In Method _Q15 add at the end: Notify (PS2K, 0x0205)Notify (PS2K, 0x0285) If you are lost with ACPI here is how you should place the code: Little bonus, since the ThinkVantage key does absolutely nothing, I patched the DSDT so that when you hit that key, the fans will remain at 100% speed all the time. Hit it again and they go back to auto mode Cool Right? Replace your _Q19 method with this (credits to tluck) Method (_Q19, 0, NotSerialized) // _Qxx: EC Query { Name (FANS, One) Store (HFSP, FANS) XOr (FANS, 0x80, Local0) If (Local0) { Store (0x80, HFSP) } Else { Store (0x07, HFSP) } } After all the ACPI tables are properly patched save them all and compile your tables cd /path/to/patched/tablesiasl *.dsl After getting the resulting patched aml files, place them in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched for Clover to load itFinally you will need to generate an SSDT using ssdtPRGen.sh Note: - If you want working brightness in Sierra make sure to download my ACPI files pack and use the provided SSDT-PNLF - Also if you use Atheros AR9285 like me you can use the attached SSDT-2 and see if it works, otherwise provide here your DSDT 7. After you have your DSDT, SSDT-0, SSDT-1 and SSDT (the one generated by the script) , along with SSDT-PNLF and SSDT-2 if you need them, place them all together in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched and in the ACPI section of your config.plist make sure to "Drop OEM" tables and set the "Sorted Order" Overall I would say this laptop is quite perfect for a Hackintosh , I use it for a few months and I love it, hope you do too. This Hack is functioning almost 100% in Mac OS X and certainly it performs so much better than in Windows Enjoy our fully functional Hack General Notes and Random Fixes The stock Intel WiFi will not work. The common approach is use a modded BIOS and replace the WiFi with a Broadcom or Atheros chip (I went for AR9285). Enable (turn on) Bluetooth so the green light is showing on the LCD bezel (do from Windows or Ubuntu). Also make sure the side switch is set to green too! When using external headphones or speakers, may need to plug and unplug 1 or 2 times for recognition. iMessage/Facetime may not register without overriding the Clover generated values with real ROM and MLB values from a real Apple Mac. Search thread for ROM to get more info. Clover can possibly generate proper values and inject using RtVariables - use mac address -- see wiki for details. Hibernation - Use OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi instead of OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi UEFI driver for restart from hibernation. Suggested settings if you don't want or use hibernation: sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0 rm /var/vm/sleepimage if you want hibernation, then set hibernate mode to 7 (mode 7 is like mode 3 but without encryption) - may need to manually edit this value into the plist file now. sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 7 Note: Booting up from the hibernated image may have jumbled or blank LCD until you do a sleep/wake cycle to reset the LCD. Add boot option darkwake=0 if you would like to disable power nap and have the lid wake the gfx instead of hitting extra key. TrackPoint may not be responsive on startup (random occurance) - a sleep/wake cycle should revive it. Here are my patched tables if you need them L420 patched ACPI Sierra.zip
  18. Hello Friendly people here at Insanely Mac, I have successfully managed to install Sierra 10.12.4 on my system (yay!). Everything is working well and this would be the best install I have ever done on any one of my machines, going all the way back to Snow Leopard. HOWEVER, I cannot get Kaspersky to install, no worries, I installed Norton (after paying for a different subscription x.x); after the program installed I proceeded to install my other software but not until I reboot my system of course, heres the issue that I can't wrap my mind around, mostly every time I install new software and reboot my machine, my monitors never display an image and I have to boot into a bootloader and start up without any nvidia driver then reinstall my drivers again for me to have a successful boot up. I've searched google for any one having this issue and came up empty handed, can anyone help me out with this? I've also noticed that when I try to boot without reinstalling the drivers, it takes a considerably longer time to progress though the bar (maybe this has an effect as well?) My specs are: Intel i7 2600k (unlocked), 16gb DDR3 Mem, EVGA Nvidia GTX 980ti, with an Asrock z68 extreme7 Gen3 mainboard. This isn't a life threatening bug but it is getting a little annoying having the reinstall my nvidia drivers over and over after every install of something new. Thanks everyone for your anticipated support and help along the way
  19. Hi, All. I tried to post this question on another website (which I will leave unnamed), who apparently do not support OS X Leopard anymore. Thank goodness InsanelyMac does! Anyway. I'm trying to build my first hackintosh, and as stated, on boot of the OS X Leopard installer, I hit the following error: Bug: launchctl.c:2325 (23930):30: (dbfd = open(g_job_overrides_db_path, 0_RDONLY | O_EXLOCK | O_CREAT, S_IRUSR | S_IWUSR)) != -1 (see attached photo. I apologize for low quality image. Best I could get :/) Booting with -s -v doesn't help. I get to the single user BASH shell, type exit as instructed to boot the system, and hit another hang. I assume it is the same error in the background. Booting without -v simply shows the apple logo and the spinning loading circle indefinitely. I am booting on an IBM X41 tablet computer (Screen is dead, however. I have to use VGA.) I am using Chameleon 2.1 r2069, and my boot disk is a USB which was 'restored' on a MacOS Sierra computer to contain the OS X Leopard install DVD, as well as Chameleon. Originally, I attempted with A legacy version of an unnamed bootloader, however hit the following: boot0: GPT boot0: testing boot0: testing boot0: testing boot0: error Which lead me to change bootloaders to Chameleon. I had to delete all graphics kexts to get this far, and I have to use a USB keyboard, because the built in one doesn't work past chameleon (I.e. for single user mode). As far as I'm aware, the BIOS is set up correctly, and the HDD is completely empty. The USB I'm booting with is on an MBR partition scheme, as GUID wouldn't work. I also tried the Voodoo patched Kernel. No joy. Finally, I have also attempted the install with OS X Tiger (same method for boot disk). That OS only manages to get as far as Darwin, before crashing. Specs aren't pretty, but should be able to run Tiger and / or Leopard just fine: Intel Pentium M LV 758 @ 1.2GHz 512MB DDR2 Ram 1.8" 60GB HDD @ 4200RPM Intel PRO 2200BG WiFi Unlike the reply on the other unnamed website suggests, I know that WiFi and Graphics are both compatible if you poke around enough, because of the following YouTube video, however my VGA prediciment could break the graphics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDlgwnedQ6Y Hopefully someone can help with my ancient OS install :/ Hopes aren't high, but anyway. Thanks in advance.
  20. I'm struggling to get my Optiplex 780 DT working with this guide. I can boot into clover just fine, but when I try to boot the USB in clover I get this. I've tried some different boot flags, DSDTs, kexts and patches, but I always get this error. I have a Q8200, 1x4GB, an HD 5450 1GB, and the latest A15 bios. I can't figure out exactly what the problem is, so if anybody could help me out I would really appreciate it! Thanks. EDIT - I tried switching the Q8200 for a Q9400, no difference.

  23. I successfully installed Yosemite Zone on my PC which will later be dual booted with Windows 10. I didn't use "MB" as it messed with my dual monitors (one is DVI one HDMI, only output through HDMI. It works fine with the nv_disable=1 from the Niresh setup though). I installed my audio and ethernet kexts and everything is up and running...except for one thing. I can't boot to this HDD without using the install USB. I've installed Clover, Chimera, and Chameleon all multiple times with standalone installers and I just can't get anything to work. I just get an error when booting without the usb that says something like ERROR: No usable boot device detected or something like that. Any ideas? Specs: i7 3770 Acer Aspire MC605 OEM motherboard EVGA GTX 760 SC 2GB 8GB DDR3 RAM 500GB HDD (P.S. I'd prefer if you didn't suggest some sort of vanilla install. I would if I could but I haven't previously purchased Yosemite and can't obtain the Installer app.)
