Hi Kasi99 My card is 5430M but mountain lion reports it as HD5400 series 5 the only kext i edited is AMDRadeonAccelerator
My frame buffer is Hoolock pciRoot =0, What is your boot loader ?? Have you tried booting with a ATI rom in your extra folder?

i have tried bootloader Chimera 1.11.1 and Chameleon-2.1svn-r2059 ! not work!
By PCI Root=0 have i Blackscreen after loading apple bootlogo with GraphicsEnabler=Yes

I got everything working except QE/CI working so its a bit sluggish. Especially when watching flash videos. help.

Hi here is my Rom.
When you boot and get a black screen try your vga if you have one, If that works you may need to force  Edid.
Is your mountain lion a distro or a vanilla install,was it all working in lion is it a upgrade or a fresh install.

I have a dell pc so my raw data would be no good for your pc. Is that your raw data from your display?? If it is it needs to go in your overrides folder

Have a look in your ioreg to see what display you are using Your vga and internal screen will use different productID.

Here is your raw hex converted into base64.
Back up your DisplayProductId first then try this one try hoolock i think eulemur might work also.
Rebuild cache after swapping files.

hey guys, im a german and my english is not so good but i hope you understand me well !!

i've got a problem I cant fix since a couple of weeks. i hope really you can help me !!

my problem is the intern display of my HP G72. i just cant set it in a high resolution and i dont have a QE/CI !

i use ML 10.8 and a Ati 5430 !! i allready wrote my Device id from the Ati 5430 in the AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext under Cedar.

with the vga port by using a external monitor everything is allright ! high resolution and QE/CI
works well !!
only the intern display won't work!!

i've read out the Edid of the intern display with different programs! it also wont work with the fixed DisplayProductID-717 !

everytime when i use the GraphicsEnabler=Yes i get a blackscreen after the loadingscreen with the apple bootlogo

i use the bootloader Chimera 1.11.1 and Chameleon-2.1svn-r2059 but without any results ! everytime i get the blackscreen after the loadingscreen with the apple bootlogo.

in the chameleon bootplist i tryed different framebuffers like hoolock and Eulemur but without any results.

i really dont know what i am doing wrong !! i also copy the data in the Plist Editor Pro and than copy the Edid string und sychronised it. after that i copy all into the DisplayProductID-717 with a texteditor and finally i repaired the volume of the OSx partition with the harddisk service programm.

the result of everithing i do is just a blackscreen with the GraphicsEnabler=yes

maybe somebody can check my data !! i really be thankfull if somebody can help me !!! please i get sick of this !!!

i hope somebody of you understand my bad english and can help me soon!

This is the same thing that happened to me after I successfully installed Lion & Mountain Lion.

I saw that you posted the same details on this topic http://www.insanelym...splay-problems/ and you are on the right track. Basically, you need to perform a Force EDID so the display will come out from the Internal LCD screen.

Read the details and you should be able to fix it.

i have also done some screenshots and matched that with yours and what i`m seeing is, that on your screenshot is no ati kext loaded.!!

when i installed the atiradeonx3000 in the S/L/E than im getting a bootloop.

i integrated my Foce Edid in the DisplayProductID-717 and i read out my raw Data by using monilnfo under windows.

I´m confused now, cause another user means the problem is still an other way !! but anybody answered my questions as yet and you are my last chance now !!!!! maybe yu can help me from the beginning and then step by step !

wich ati/amd kext should i install and wich of them can i erase ??
