sudo kextcache -v 1 -a i386 -a x86_64 -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions

Fabio,
I've posted in the threat above, the findings is very interesting and preventing the auto sleep.
When using the Applehda(by your method), everything works perfect exept the auto sleep, the Applehda always check for the sound assertion error - its in the console logs very often , maybe every minute or so, and preventing the system to go to auto sleep.
If You have time pls see the situation and post back.
With Voodohda the auto sleep is working perfectly(Applehda is deleted)
Thanks

thx ermac! ;)

seems like trusting in your skills paid off another time!
the only problem i was facing was the audio.
i simply placed the VoodooHDA.kext into the extensions folder and everything worked fine! sleep works as well!

but after a while iam facing another problem. my system was stable using THIS 123boot guide for snow leopard, but using the lion guide iam experiencing some network problems, without changing anything in the BIOS:

1. AirDrop isnt available in Finder and there is no option for activating it.
2. Sharing my files via ethernet doesnt work at all both ways.

do you have any idea how to get that to work? you will find details of my system in the signature!
hope this report will help you to kill the flaws within your guide! thx in advance!

hi fabio!

i've deleted the VodooHDA.kext, rebooted and ran the command and then rebooted again. after reboot i got no audio at all. even after putting back the VodooHDA.kext. is there any way to reverse the command? and the networking problems still remain as well.

greetings!

A simple question...
In the process you describe... have you do a backup of your previous AppleHDA.kext?
Because if you replace a generic (not patched) AppleHDA.kext obviously the audio can't work!

With the USB install process ( I suppose you do that in your working Snow Leopard partition), based on your selection (motherboard selection) the audio file (the AppleHDA.kext) will be patched&binpatched directly into the recovered (into the USB) Base System so... or you Re-copy the AppleHDA from the USB (Base System) and put it in your (Lion)
S/L/E end rebuild the cache... or you have to patch it from scratch...

unfortunately not. i searched for another audio workaround and found it HERE. just placed the vodooHDA.kext in the extra/extensions folder and i was ready to go.
sry, iam not a pro on the hackintosh thing, i just try to take small steps towards it.

thx for the fix, audio works fine right now! :(

The solution in your linked post his not complete... (we talk about AppleHDA not VodooHDA just to clarify)
there is a file missed... a Info .plist
The process of binpatching is ok
the layout12.xml and Platforms.xml also ok
but is missed a file without it the mic not work!
So into the Base archive navigate into--> Base/AD2000B_LION/Info.plist the Info.plist file
need to be replaced in /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext/Contents/Info.plist

enjoy...

Just used the AppleHDA.kext from 10.6.8 and MyMacpro atosleeps now.The Files from the Base 1.3 (info, platform and layout 12) works too in AppleHDA.kext from 10.7,teh sound is there and works perfect but brokes the auto sleep function - why I dont know, maybe because the AppleHDA from 10.7 has a higher build number 2.0.11 then the one from 10.6.8 and the one from the info.plist from the Base = 2.05, maybe someting is changed. The solution for the sound from Base 1.3 for the AppleHDA 10.7, rezults in that the every minute AppleHDA sends error mesages to the system(can see the errors in the console logs every minute = soun assertetion ... ... ...) preventing the system from autosleep.
Maybe this post can be useful for users who are heavy users of the autosleep function like me.

System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Resources/layout12.xml
System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Resources/Platforms.xml
System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext/Contents/Info.plist
Ultima cosa da Terminale digita questo comando :
sudo kextcache -v 1 -a i386 -a x86_64 -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions
Riavvia
