Okay for anyone that is looking for a great versatile wifi card the TP Link WN851N Rev 2.0 works great it runs native in 32 bit and with a simple kext which I have already created and installer package for works amazingly. well super fast on both Windows 7 and SL 10.6.3 Shows up as Airport and works better than the integrated LAN.

Okay guys one last time. you do not need all the files that were originally posted on the first page I know that DaveVegas has uploaded them many times here is a simple method that should work for you. If you want to create a USB drive.
Step one make your usb thumb drive a writable version the retail Snow leopard disk should only take a few
Guide
Step 2 download and run this installer and point to your thumb drive.
Installer
Step 3 After you have done that drag and drop the gigabyte post installer to your usb drive.
Gigabyte G41M post installer
You will run the post installer from the thumb drive once you are done installing Mac OS X. With this installer are a few modified DSDT files that should be the only thing you have to select. If you do not see one processor specific I can help I have others done I have just not updated the post installer yet. feel free to pm for your specific DSDT. For the time being if you do not see your processor in the dsdt list please select the first dsdt that does not have a processor model listed.
This will be as clean of an install as we can hope to have at the moment with limited files in the extra folder but everything will work. Only the onboard video card is not supported. I recommend a Nvidia 8xxx or higher.
PS this method will work off of a usb HDD, and a SDHC card as well I was using a external card reader but it did work
This will also have you running 64 bit
There is an option in my installer if you would rather run 32bit though

Hi "ridgline",
Gave the new installer (and your suggested steps) a go on one of the "T" series boards, I had one just used to upgrade an old PC at work - GA-G41MT-ES2H - has DDR3 RAM and DVI output from the on board graphics. Just wanted to see how it would go, looking at using the G41MT-ES2L in a machine for home.
Just using the on-board video - all worked a treat - except the network card in not working (says it is - ie the card seems to be saying it is there) but no network - any ideas?
Setup is: G41MT-ES2H, E5400 (2.7 Dual Core), 2G DDR3 Ram (OCZ), 320G SATA & IDE DVD-ROM
Install via "Empire", 10.6.3 Update and then your installer (Generic DSDT).
Many thanks for your work - Any ideas would be appreciated.

Well you have a different network card than the G41M-ES2L that the installer was written for.
step one. download kext utility.
step two. go to /system/library/extensions/ and delete the RealtekR1000SL.kext
step three click and run kext utilty.
reboot see if that helps.

Thanks will give it a go this evening - I did not realise the chips would be that different (RTL8110SC, RTL8111C/D(L), RTL8111)
Thanks again to you and iRobie, will let you know how I go.
P.S. I did read on "iRobie's" thread (Oct 09) that someone had had a similar problem but there was no reply addressing it that I could see - may be it was a version problem too?

Just an update, it did not help, at least with "RealtekR1000SL.kext" installed it sees the cable being plugged in and removed.
No. problem, it was just a test - can't get the non "T" boards locally - thinking of giving the G41MT-ES2L a go, it has the RTL8111E.
Thanks again for the help
If anyone has used the "T" boards - please let me know.

just a side note I have a working wifi card from TP Link works great instead of using the onboard not to mention my router is forever far away from my hac. Instead of replacing boards might not be a bad Idea to just spend $20 and get a working card.

Hi Ridgeline,
I just installed new hackintosh with retail DVD on USB stick with myHack 1.01 installer. After install I ran your post installer 2.3 and it is working flawlessly. Sleep, reboot, shutdown all work. Sound, LAN also work. The only thing that I don't know if it is working is speedstep. How can I check if it is working?
Anyway thanks for all your work, you are the MAN
My Hardware:
GA-G41M-ES2L (F6 BIOS)
E7500 procesor
GIGABYTE 8800GT 512MB
1TB WD GREEN HDD
DVD-DRIVE: SONY OPTIARC AD-7243
Gorazd
I forgot to tell I updated to 10.6.4. No problem all I had to do was to reinstall AppleHDA.
