if you go to device manager my device id is ; 1814 301 and thats v4.1 unfortunately.
You can also tell if you remove the pci card will have version number or a big R for Ralink
If your card is Broadcom then your in luck follow the broadcom tutorial.

Until now i've tested the Ralink mac drivers and now i have a program @ applications called WirelessUtilityCardbusPCI.app and another called USBWirelessUtility.app (the second is the one i use now to get onto the net using my asus wifi dongle..)
I've also played with some kexts with no luck and i reversed everything i did so i can fix it later...
Anybody can help with this damn card.. is it v4 or v4.1 that doesn't play, as some say..

I got mine working (finally/kinda) in Leopard. I had to use the 10.5 drivers, and version 1.3 of the WirelessUtilityCardbusPCI.app.

Hello all,
i have wmp54g v4.1 rt61
It seems like with LEOPARD the card is working , but i need to download drivers. My problem is that since this is my only network card on the system , I cannot pass the initial steps "do you already own a mac?" , it keeps looping and looping.
From what I read , this will keep happening until LEO finds the network card.
How do I manage to install RT61 drivers ?
thanks in advance!
