My spare PCIe board is the same GF 8400 as onboard graphics... So I got pretty much the same results with it last night :)

Do I understand it right that I need Natit to enable GF 8400 and _OverrideNV* kext would take care of onboard graphics? In other words if I just add Natit, it should fix my PCIe GF 8400 board and I really need _OverrideNV for onboard only?

BTW, what PolicyTymcedStreamDisabler.kext does exactly?

I suggest to use archivio.zip (latest) and the appleacpiplatform modded from #####

The override kexts in the archivio.zip solve the black screen at boot.

AppleACPIPlatform I need to just roll it back to 10.8.1, right? And to avoid CMOS reset I just need ElliottForceLegacyRTC and that's all I really need from #####, right?

I've been injecting with NVEnabler http://www.osx86.net...1989-nvenabler/ last night and had no luck with either on board GF 8400 or my PCIe card - It either goes black screen or monitor turns off... Looks like _OverrideNV* kext has no effect on either onboard or PCIe. Could they be too old by now? (I've been trying with 10.8.5 and 10.9.0)

Also is there any specific reason for Natit as an injector? With either Natit or NVEnabler I should do GraphicsEnabler=No to stop chameleon attempts to inject, right? Finally, is there any dependency in _OverrideNV* kexts on "patched BIOS"? Again, I had to revert back to Zotac BIOS because of Windows.

P.S. Once I got monitor to display bizarre color patterns when I used wrong (newer) NVEnabler...

Yes. I just did an in-place upgrade last weekend.

I can provide the steps I followed, org.chameleon.Boot.plist.org, and a listing of the /E/E and /S/L/E kexts that aren't stock.

Sorry if you posted this information already, can you list your system configuration? Custom bios mod, dsdt, custom kexts, etc.

Thanks

running 10.8.5 on gf9300-k-e

after my little snow leo server needed an upgrade i decided to go for mountain lion.

used nearly all kexts from ugokinds post 795 was a great help for working internal video.

only tested dvi with the apple 20" alu display.

i have no dsdt cause it hung on boot, i use only SSDT.aml from the post

installed 10.8.2 on the drive on a a real mac, upgraded to 10.8.5

installed chameleon ENOCH2064

put in extra my

org.chameleon.Boot.plist

smbios.plist (macpro 3,1)

SSDT.aml

put into extra / extensions

AppleRTC.kext

NullCPUPowerManagement.kext

SleepEnabler.kext

put into s / l / e

_OverrideNVDANV50Hal.kext

_OverrideNVDAResman.kext

AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext

AppleNForceATA.imk64bit.kext

FakeSMC.kext

IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext

Natit.kext

ZEvOreboot.kext

for alc662 audio on back and internal header:

AppleHDA.kext

HDAEnabler.kext (ugokinds did not work, but the one from the ##### installer v: 1.0.0d1

edit:

because i had kernel panic as of applehda (1.7.4)  i use this one (1.9.9 + hdaenabler):

http://www.insanelym...lehda-1085-199/

removed:

AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext

AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient.kext

not sure if it is necessary;

after all i have audio, even i have two devices shown in systemprofiler

and i have full sleep and wakeup which i had not with voodohda.

did a plain installation of 10.9.1 on a mac on an external drive.
installed only chimera 2.2.1 from the mav.m*b*st installer

put in extra
org.chameleon.Boot.plist
smbios.plist
Themes (created by chimera)
Modules (created by chimera)

put into extra / extensions
AppleRTC.kext

put into s / l / e
_OverrideNVDANV50Hal.kext (ugukinds #795)
_OverrideNVDAResman.kext (ugukinds #795)
evOreboot.kext (not sure if needed)
FakeSMC.kext (ugukinds #795)
Natit.kext  ((ugukinds #795), BUT ive seen, you have loads of {censored} inside the bundle (7 MB instead of ≈ 70 kb), i removed all except
info.plist
MacOS / Natit

removed from s l e:
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient.kext

fixed rights and caches with kextwizard, booting up and runnning.
