  1. this board re-lives. 10.10.3 guide coming soon! Running very nice with 10.10.3, IGP Graphics, and Q9550 CPU
  2. Thanks LatinMcG; came across a free XPS M1710 its still a good basic machine; 10.6.8 installation was simple based on your instructions. I'm going to upgrade to 4GB (only ~3GB usable in 32bit mode) and also give 10.7+ a go when I have some time
  3. Hey guys -- up and running with my config including VIA PCI controller (gives me +2 SATA) However, bonjour is not working for me. Tried both the Realtek and Lnx2 drivers -- any ideas? UPDATE: Bonjour working after restart -- will keep testing
  4. Anyone have trouble with speedstep/power management in Lion? I'm running stock bios w/Gaansan's DSDT and Cameleon 1266 -- system is running HOTTTT! SL was fine UPDATE: Speedstep is working fine -- was just me imaging higher heat
  5. thanks for this -- When my new 8GB SSD comes in for my Lion server I'll let you know how the upgrade goes. Some concern that my via kexts might not work on Lion, but we will see
  6. Yes sorry + RTC patch.. will update post
  7. I'm running UD3P which should be the same as the UD3R (only difference should be the built in security). System is perfect including autosleep/wake from sleep only Kexts I have right now are: /S/L/E: ALC885_889a RealtekR1000SL /E/E/ FakeSMC IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector Why are you still running NullCPUPower? Latest Chameleon should be all you need EDIT: + Need the AppleRTC Patch: sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x75\x30\x44\x89\xf8|\xeb\x30\x44\x89\xf8|; s|\x75\x3d\x8b\x75\x08|\xeb\x3d\x8b\x75\x08|' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleRTC.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleRTC
  8. sleep/autosleep and wake all working fine via Bluetooth (Magic Mouse + Wireless KB) using AppleRTC patch (UD3P) see sig
  9. Thanks -- perfect fix for EP45-UD3P
  10. Had a few PMs so here is the wiring instructions for diode method.. Thanks to Swhay for his original diagram Yes the green and yellow wires between the Apple and USB cable do cross over
  11. Guys, you can also use 2x1N4001 diodes in series with the 5V UBS power to get the voltage down to ~3.6V or so. Working for me (see sig)
  12. I believe this is working - my xbench stores have steadily improved today (Kingston G2) thanks!
  13. hold command on keyboard and drag out of menubar?
  14. maxos, DBT120 can be updated from OSX - you will need to go back to Leopard (maybe even tiger, it was a while ago) - i definitely recall doing this before moving to the Targus sticks
  15. Spent today experimenting with a same/similar macbook pro BT module (attached). It works fine using 5V off a USB hub, it does not work for some reason off a USB header. This is definitely the way to go as these modules are available for cheap off ebay Update: March 14 - Genuine usb is wired up to MB USB header. I put 2xdiodes in series at the 5V to drop the voltage more or less down to 3.6V volts, close enough for me. Full sleep support, full magic mouse support. Screen shot of profiler attached
