Hey, thanks for all your work! This helped me. Now I want to perfect the remapping of my keyboard. Can you explain just like one example of what this is? 0x91,// e0 6f acer down what is the 0x91? and what is the e0 6f? Where are you assigning a function to that key? And what does dead key mean?

Would you be able to take a look at my BIOS and see if you can try to patch it? It seems set up differently, so I don't see how to get at my DSDT to edit it. Thanks for the guide, looks good! edit- heres my link to my BIOS: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5060880&prodNameId=5060882&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-96595-1 -

Can anyone put together a guide on editing BIOS to make this no longer needed? -

You must have had a typo or something. The abbreviations actually will work too. -

What version of OS X? Make sure there are no spaces. What errors are you getting? -

must be sudo ./speedstepper /S*/L*/E*/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement don't point to kext, but to the binary. -
I just wanted to thank you for this guide. However- I actually didn't use it all. I have these results: ioreg -l -x -w0 | grep DisplayProductID | | | | | "DisplayProductID" = 0x15a1 ioreg -l -x -w0 | grep DisplayVendorID | | | | | "DisplayVendorID" = 0xdaf which convert to: 5537 44813 but the 44813 wasn't right, I had a folder with my vendor id already. The number it used was 1552. Why is that? Thanks again though!

Its not the CPU, its the BIOS that matters. We aren't supposed to share apple's files. -
Lol. Called out. But Kate B., please realize you disappeared, and a broke high school student was worried about his (her?) money. Noone was implying you to be weird. They were simply worried.

Is there any way to make a patcher like the one I believe oldnapalm uploaded, except it only patches the first time so it can be run multiple times? -
Which kext is the kext that we need to edit for fan? (for a CPU fan) Would that be IntelCPUMonitor?
