Apple unveils new iPad with retina display and 4G LTE

Apple today announced the iPad 3, simply dubbed "the new iPad" by Apple, featuring the following:

• 4G LTE replacing 3G
  

The 4G connectivity in the new iPad is the first time the technology has made it into an Apple product, making download speeds of up to 73Mbps possible while on the move.

1.Yes but a full conference on just the iPad 3 and a few sprinkles of iOS apps here and there seemed a little overboard they should of put this much effort in the Newton when it came out.

2.Since they dropped the Computers from there name and Mac from about this mac. I think the goal in the company is to combine the iOS and OSX in all there products will we see Siri in the MacBooks and iMacs or better yet bundled into OSX?

3.Since they are trying make everything work hand in hand. Can I use Siri in Logic Pro? Well that isn't to far fetched since they want us to do everything so easy!

4.Siri find me new income so i can afford all these new great products with the least amount of effort!!!!!

5.OSX for all PC & MAC.

6.My iPad 1 is still working lovely no complaints or need to upgrade just yet.

unboxing...?????

I originally said that I was going to get the iPad this coming summer but after a a close friend of mine recently bought himself a Wifi + LTE iPad, I said “Okay, let me take it for a few runs and see if I truly would purchase this device.” Now you might have heard repeatedly how awesome and stunning display but when I unraveled the smart cover that hid the elegant display, I was speechless while admiring 2048 times 1536. My initial reaction was that my right eye was crying tears like an Amaterasu from Sasuke in an episode of Naruto.

good adobe flash is garbage

@Ripkon I wouldn't say it is garbage because it has brought flash media a long way on the internet but seeing as how it was never really optimized for OS X and with the current rise of HTML5, Flash is becoming as obsolete as VCRs are.

Ive heard the lifespan of the batteries in an Ipad is about two years so .....

I didnt know that when I bought mine and it sure makes me think maby it wasnt my smartest buy cause over here they are even more expensive compared to the usa.

Good thing is there are videos on youtube how you disassemble them, but it includes a heatgun a thin bladed knife since they are glued together. Lets just hope two years from now there are batteries you can get on the aftermarket so you actually can replace them.

@starobrn1 It would be nice if it were as easy to take off the back as it is with the iPhone 4/S. 2 simple screws would save a real headache of having to heatgun the two pieces to separate them.
