I don't know about you, but I won't be attending Apple's Media event today, so I'll be relying on live coverage from various sites. It is held in Cupertino, California at 10am Pacific time (that's 6pm BST, for us in the UK).

The following sites will be providing live coverage:

Gizmodo

Engadget

SlashGear

MacObserver

Stuff.TV

Or you could download this little universal app, that will launch all the useful links for you. (thanks mac-mini!)

The rumors flying around at the moment include new iMacs with aluminum enclosures, iLife and iWork '08, and a .Mac update. There is also rumors of a 16gb flash based iPod with video playback support.

Perhaps this is a good time to finish your bingo card from WWDC!

Time to place your bets on this event's "one more thing"! :D

Customers say they love glossy displays.

I can't see this being true? if this is true then why is it that the refurbished section of the store sells MBP with gloss screens for $50CAD less. If people want gloss screens then that would make them in higher demand so they should be $50CAD more not less.

I personally hate the gloss screen, I had use of a friends HP laptop for a day and the screen drove me nuts I was constantly moving it around to get the glare off the screen

The announcements side of the event seems to be over, Q&A commencing. The Mac mini will also be seeing a refresh when the store comes back up.

Hmm...Apple Store is down again...maybe a mistake on one of the product's descriptions?

When it comes back up, I hope to get the new Bluetooth keyboard!

Well, this is indeed a great day for the Hackintosh community.

For many of the wrong reasons.

I don't know how upgradeable the iMacs are but the black trim around the screen... what on earth were Apple thinking? Perhaps the contrast between the old iMacs and iPhone was too great, so they felt they had to add black to the iMac casing. It's not easy on the eye. Clean lines, still, but... does it work for you guys? As a touch typist, that keyboard makes me want to run a mile. I would like to run and try it out, first, and hopefully change my mind but... why? If they want to get more machines into offices, with their 'pro' pretensions, they need to supply office quality keyboards, not something that feels like a MacBook? I hope I'm wrong about that keyboard.

What I suspect I'm not wrong about is that more and more people will go the Hackintosh route. I have mixed feelings about that. I purchased Tiger and it remains in its shrink wrap, so to speak. I am also a very happy Mac Mini owner. But I do love my Hackintoshes. What graphics card/chip does the new Mini use? Certainly I will run out and buy iLife08, it appears to be exceptional value for money and will surely draw in new buyers to the Mac platform. The new iMovie makes me weak at the knees! :D Pity I can't say the same about the iMacs. Will they continue to sell the old keyboard, I wonder?
