aaquib
This is pathetic. $50 would be change to pay after the tons of hours I've spent trying to get this to work. You see, I've installed Leopard on an external HDD(my 80gb ipod video) and Im trying to boot into it, but how?! I can't do it with either: iAtkos v 1.0ir iAtkos v 1.1 ir2 Kalyway Leo4all I always get the checkmark confirming the installation's sucess, but how the heck do I boot into it? Every time I try booting into the HDD, it just takes me back to XP. I partitioned it correctly, using Mac Extended journal and it installed great. Im just so confused about what to do. I have an Intel Celeron processor on my Toshiba Satellite A110 laptop. PLEASE HELP! Anyone that can get this working, I promise you I'll send $50 to your Paypal account from mine. ironicall
Check your boot order in your bios and make sure your external HD(iPod) is set first and if need be disable all other bootable devices.
digitallysick
Your going to have to edit your boot.ini file in windows xp [boot loader] timeout=1 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=”Microsoft Windows XP Professional” /noexecute=optin /fastdetect C:\chain0=”OSX LEO” this is just a smaple, what drive does your ipod show up as? just change it to whatever drive it shows up as D:\chain0="leopard" replace the drive letter. I'm not sure you can run leopard off of the ipod , you can "install" leopard from an ipod to a harddrive, but i dont think you can install leopard to an ipod and run the OS off of the ipod
jeffrey2420
Are you choosing to "Boot From USB Device" or something similar from your laptop's BIOS?
aaquib
Are you choosing to "Boot From USB Device" or something similar from your laptop's BIOS? All I do is when I start up the laptop, I select F12 and I boot to iPod(which is my HDD).
goonygugle
you either need to select boot from the usb device in bios or in some bios you can change the hard drive boot priority and move the usb hard drive to the top,i use the first method on laptop and the second on my desktop and it works with leo4all

I'd boot it off of my laptop hard drive, but whenever I try with iAtkos, it doesn't detect it. Only Leo4all detected my laptop internal HDD, but it always freezes at: 2 minutes remaining. Is it possible I have a bad disk? If so, can you link me to a file where I can get Leo4all, because I downloaded the most seeded one on torrent. I'd be even happier if it could run off of my internal HDD, but right now the only option that's working is installing it on my iPod.
goonygugle
let leo4all keep going when it is stuck at 2 minutes remaining,it always does that too me and takes about 20 minutes to finish up
aaquib
let leo4all keep going when it is stuck at 2 minutes remaining,it always does that too me and takes about 20 minutes to finish up It gets completely frozen though. The blue bar doesn't keep swirling, it just comes to a halt. Any ideas why? And, is there a way i can partition my hard drive without deleting everything on it? Last time I did it through disk utility and then I had to reinstall XP.

teknojunkie
Listen you need to reinstall Darwin boot loader and make the drive active You can check on google by searching "Manually Install Darwin and it Gives you a guide" Hopefully it helps. digitallysick
You will not lose all of your data if you create a partition as long as you do it correctly.

chevy2410
Hey in your BIOS, in the boot priority, can you see your external drive /ipod? If so just select it as the first or second boot device. Choose second if your dvd drive is first. Save the settings and reboot. If the ipod has been flagged as active then it should boot. I have installed OSX86 on dozens of usb drives and haven't had any problems booting from them. It either you aren't choosing the right drive from the boot menu or the drive is not active. GeekofComputers
Oh dear. This is soo stupid. All you have to do is restart the pc followed by ESC then choose Hard drive/hard disk or whatever and under your main hard drives you will see a device. (This works on phones aswell). It might not work for iPods though which brings me to a bigger question. Why install it on an iPod?
