Why switch from Vista x64 to x86 erei?

Because on my old Athlon system I started having blue screens after installing either Skype (bloat rly?) or WoW (ew). I got really irritated with Vista, and then switched back to XP until I got my 3870 which uses DX10.

On my new and fresh 'Hack Pro' I'm using Vista Ultimate x64 legit, with Leopard as my primary OS of course/

Hi

For me I had bought a new laptop Hp Dv 9704 tx. I wanted to install the Mac leopard on it . The moment I bought home the laptop I wiped out it completely for me this is thing under 5 min

laptop is just 1 month old and it has be wiped more than 15x times

Windows XP : 15x times

Windows Vista :15x times

Leopards : 50x times (before final thing was set in properly)

I am able to go for triple boot. Once they are done now I dont format now. I have Norton ghost images for windows xp, Windows VIsta and MAC leopard 10.5.2 on a partition so if I feel like some thing problem I reimage the machine atleast 3x times a day takes only 20 min to reimage all the os (windows xp. leopard, and vista ) Norton ghost rules

With regards,

$tealth

I used to format and reinstall XP every 2 months or so on my old (now converted to server) AMD K6 PC, because it was running XP with NO service pack (SP2 screwed up the system) it was vulnerable to lots of infections and exploits. My newer computers, running XP SP2 and Vista SP1 I haven't reinstalled since the first install, they are running fresh and clean :) Uninstalling not needed programs and swiping it with CCleaner goes a long way :P

The way we deal with XP in corporate environments with hundreds of workstations to manage is to preemptively strike them about once a month. You have a clean image of the workstations setup the way the company wants them. Once a month you wipe them and re image them to get rid of all the {censored} the lusers have put on them instead of doing their freakin' jobs. All the work files are safe on the bulletproof bsd file server. You never actually try to solve a windows problem with a workstation (takes too much time and cost the company too much), you just wipe and re image. Tracking down that dll from that hello kitty screen saver that fragged Betty in personnels PC never comes into play. :censored2:

7 times since May last year. Various errors, winload corruptions under XP, which can't fix said winload corruption, failed attempts at osx86 before I was a nerd, etc. It's been, maybe, three times under vista. Once was my fault, the other two were vista's. I hated it everytime because I had to reinstall EVERYTHING. But it does speed up the computer quite a bit, and usually, I used linux distros for a week or so before I install windows, so I'm sure it's a bit productive.
