Hello, I am having lots of problems with Zephyroth's 10.5.2 for AMD.

First problem:

When I don't boot the DVD with -v or -x it appears an apple logo and it stays there forever...

It doesn't have the loading circle as you can notice.

Second problem:

When I boot with -v it stays there forever, the last code it says in the black screen is:

ACPI_SMC_CtrlLoop : : iniyCPUCtrlLoop - pmCPUControl (PMIOCSETPSTATETABLE) returned 0x42fcf00

people are horrible at helping on this forum. i had problems after i installed it and dint get any help. bunch of bull. im a newb so i cant help either

Usually if you don't get help here, it's because you don't use the search feature and the question has already been answered definitively in another thread.

did you ever try a different osx86-distro?

have you really ever searched the forum?

there area a couple of people outta there having the same problem as you do, no near solution as far i have seen threads about this.

just 'bump'-ing your posts won't help at all...

A guy told me that there is a solution but I need to ''play'' with my BIOS changind something about ACPI but it doesn't appear anything about ACPI

Just thought I'd say that although I haven't attempted this yet, telling users to search is useless -- the search feature, at least for me, doesn't work AT ALL. The best I can do is search google for 'zephyroth inurl:insanelymac' or some such thing. Just thought I'd point that out.

I'm a newb too at the mac stuff but i do know alittle about the bios. the ACPI is the power functions set by the bios itself as far as like standby and stuff. now I have an AMD system with ALOT of nvidia stuff and i got told to go play in there as well. i turned everything on and off and tried different variations but nothing seemed to work. Unfortunatly as it doth suck the toshiba satalites are not good for OSx86. but its been a while since i've been here so just make sure you check the HCL (hardware compatibility List) its at the top of the previous page. its still kinda in the works tho lol. so u might want to go back to the 10.4. OSx86 forum and use that one as well. also if you can durring install make sure all PCMI or what ever those little laptop cards are called (sorry i have a desktop) are pulled out and make sure you turn off as much of the external connectors as possible (like usb's and ethernet) basically you want to limit the possibility of a compatibility issue with other perifrials or internals. just leave what ever u NEED to install the OS then turn them on one by one while looking for patches and drivers for OSX for your hardware.

If you go into the bios on boot, you should have an "advanced" tab or something like that. In there is where i see the options for ACPI.

There is an option to disable. Though all bios are different as far as i know. You bios may not support this if you do not see an option there for it.

What am i supposed to do, it doesnt appear there, (in BIOS)

Yeah, it won't show up in the Toshiba bios because toshiba has dumbed down the bios to keep people from messing it up. So you are out of luck on that end. Although I recommend you give up on Zeph and try Leo4All. It is the release that has gotten the closest to working for me. You might have more success. I have yet to get anything from Zeph's releases.
