I just finished doing the Leopard Graphics Update and all I get now is that ugly blue blank screen when I boot it up. Is this normal? Should I continue to wait? There's no hard drive activity and the fan isn't speeding up, so as far as I know it's doing nothing.

Alright well after reinstalling Leopard, running the combo update, installing the new vanilla kernel, rebooting and installing the graphics update I am still having the same problem. Blank light blue screen. I repaired permissions along every step of the way so that can't be the problem. It gets past the loading screen just fine every time so verbose mode doesn't do me any good. Any ideas?

You've got the same chipset as me.

I've re-installed 4 times using different kernels and everything, the damn thing just won't work at any cost for me.

Are you trying to fix graphical tearing?

Many legit-mac owners have apparently been experiencing the same issues, so I'm assuming there will be a fix in the near future.

Yes, I am, I get tearing all the time lol. I use adobe flash a lot and it's so much harder to work in that program when half the time you aren't sure what tool you're set to xD

I think it's the graphical update that does it if you have GMA950 as discussed in this thread.

I'm having the same problem, and i didn't back up the AppleIntelIntergratedFramebuffer.kext.
