Takuro Posted February 13, 2006 Share Posted February 13, 2006 Well, considering there are three different builds of 10.4.3, saying you have "10.4.3" is actually being too vague. Do you have 8F1099, 8F1111, or 8F1111a (8F1111g)? Toast will only work with 8F1111a (8F1111g), since it has altivec support. If you have 8F1111, you can download a simple updater. If you have 8F1099, you'll have to reinstall the whole operating system... Takuro Posted February 14, 2006 Share Posted February 14, 2006 One thing about the updater though: it's going to install a kernel that has CPUID fix whether you need it or not. It could cause OS X to detect your CPU as some strange dual processor. If it really bothers you, there's a way to make your own customly patched 8F1111g (8F1111a) kernel.
