finebykris
During the install, it crashed, and then it asked me to restart. every time i restart, it asks me to restart. I get the Apple logo loading for awhile and then the screen goes darker and the multilanguage restart instruction comes up. i did have efi and i was previously on 10.5.1 please tell me i can fix this without a new install. supernov
Well, how did you try to upgrade to 10.5.2? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88593-1052-slaughtered-my-os/#findComment-632099 Share on other sites
EnVmyZ
Always, and I do mean always READ before you go ahead and do any OS upgrades... There are several posts about this issue. Your system is basicly hosed if you used the Software Update. Format re-install 10.5.1 Search for kalyway_hack_10.5.2ComboUpdate on a torrent site. Install 10.5.2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88593-1052-slaughtered-my-os/#findComment-632206 Share on other sites
equilibriumuk
If you're running the vanilla kernel with pc_efi follow netkas' guide tbh, worked perfectly for me. finebykris
ok i got it aall up to date and its running flawlessly... BUT. it takes forever to boot up. The apple loading screen takes a really long time. at least 3 minutes. Also, the graphic update for 10.5.2 ... is that safe to install? ^_^
graphic update works on my mobo... tho i heard some say it doesn't. use this if you don't want to take the risk. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=83931 as for the 3 minutes bootup, if vanilla works on your mobo, try installing the new kernel. Hint, look for words like 10.5.2 kernel vanilla and patched Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88593-1052-slaughtered-my-os/#findComment-635687 Share on other sites
