Special-K
So yea, I ordered some RAM from macsales.com and it came in. I followed the instructions it came with for installation. Pretty sure I did it right. But now, my MacBook won't boot up. Like it turns on the little light and the fan starts spinning. That's it. Anybody know why this happened? cyrana
What memory did you order, and how much do you have now? Also, have you tried to boot up with just the new ram in, not the old ram, etc. (to try and narrow exactly where the problem is)? dj_stick
try removing both sticks of ram and re-seating them again firmly - it's possible one isn't quite secure Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88032-installed-new-ram-now-i-cant-boot/#findComment-627814 Share on other sites
Special-K
I took em out and reset them back in. Both of them were seated properly the first time, which is what threw me off when it didn't want to start. But it's all fine now. Thanks for your help.
