Mysticus C*
I have previousely tried unpluging all but the one with osx on it When i installed i had unpluged all the otheres and then i still had the same problem..... Will i make a difference if i dont partition the drive in 2. and just have one with mac os x on it? Will a third party bootloader do the job? are you seriously sure that you unplug all hdds? and not the correct one? bcoz if you really did it, it should stay on a blinking cursor window, instead of going to network, I m quite sure that you are doing something wrong... my best guess is that you are unplugging wrong hdd? also disable on board lan, it is garbage for os x, you will only mess up more things with it.. just kepp only your correct hdd in sata port, take all others out... check bios for correct boot order... and than boot from dvd to install on the correct hdd... and then use the post #2 guide!!! to install... and see if it will boot or skip to another boot device? only way I can confirm you are doing right and say your hdd doesnt like the bootloader, right now, problem sounds like you are not using correct configuration and boot order... @synopsis: I dont know of leo4all install dvd and cant help you with something i dont know or familiar with... this topic is support for iatkos r3! If you do mix and match with various other dvds I cant help, bcoz it will confuse me with whole thing as cant be sure what is installed what is not... and for gods sake, please right your specs to your signature, i m seriously irritated with asking this to every other noob comes around and ask for help... but no profile around and need to scroll back forth to find your damn specs... Salvajos
Hi Mysticus,I've been researching this for 4 months and I am sincerely thankful to people like you that are making Mac possible for the rest of us. After much research and many attempts I found your guide and works perfect for my system (almost)I finally got the guts to attempt the latest "build"; I read carefully the instructions and choose conservative options. Reboot with no issues. I gave up with NVinject, before the "build" update NV..50..kext register OK during boot, but I had, for some reason, no NVinject (looks like the system auto-magically did not install said file). After "build" I've got a kernel panic, so I moved NV* and Ge* to backup folder <- this I did learn well how to do it: flag -s, /sbin/mount -uw /, mv ... Mysticus C*
Hi Mysticus, I've been researching this for 4 months and I am sincerely thankful to people like you that are making Mac possible for the rest of us. After much research and many attempts I found your guide and works perfect for my system (almost) . . if you installed r3 and updated (saw in your signature) with the guide & files in post#2, and choosed the correct nvinject memory, it should have worked actually, but I see also dual cards, so i dont really know of nvinject detects/works with dual cards... first make sure you followed the guide and updated using my files, and choosed the correct nvinject memory...? if you instaled r3 from the dvd, and used my guide and files on post#2, and choosed correct nvinject memory amount, i would suggest you to go to nvinject website, and discuss there about gfx card from the look of it, you dont seem to choose correct files during update... (when you run update installer after kalyway, and if you do not choose customize, it will not install nvinject, therefore it will not detect your gfx card(s)) good luck.... edit: if you install r3, with nvinject, and have kernel panic, it is due to old drivers, they dont like all 8x series, but when you update using my guide, it should not give any panic bcoz fixed drivers and correct nvinject (in customize window of the update)... HackintoshPlease
OMG Mysticus... I could kiss you. I never should have doubted you, nor strayed from your instruction. You are wise. I successfully exported the FCP movie.. First time it's worked on 2 months of Hackintosh's.I couldn't mount DVD's inserted in the drive, so I installed the test kext from medevil and now that works too.I'm about to install Toast and try that.If it burns discs, I might cry.THANK YOU! Well.. disc burning still didn't work. It immediately failed saying "Interface is not stable" twice, then another error. I might try a SATA to IDE converter. I know the burning doesn't have anything to do with you or the install, though. Just mentioning it for information's sake. Thanks again!HP Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87901-nforce-chipsets-how-to-install-leo-easy-and-fast-with-iatkos-v10i-r3-nforce-edition-or-kalyway-1052-dvd/page/31/#findComment-679470 Share on other sites
Mysticus C*
@hackpls: welcome aboard good luck with your system... for the dvd burning, It is from nforce ata driver as I said many times, it is not mature yet, and being fixed/update/improved constantly by MeDevil... I will make installer packages time to time for these updates/improvements as soon as I found them around... but for now, not much to do about it... unless you use pata hdd/dvd... which i can help you with in different driver... @durro: osx1 will be main osx2 and osx3 is for later use to make back up and data system so that you can test your updates and installs on them while keep main safe, in case anything goes wrong... but first make a working system on osx1 then will let you know about how to do backup and data stuffs later... in short everything i tell u is for a reason... you will see the benefit in the long run... trust me... Or do I have to get a whole diff burner? if you want to use osx on pata hdd (sata to pata converter as well) , and if you get a pata dvd, I can show you another method without using nforce ata driver... so you can use it more stable, with one small problem a little slow boot only... but with this method, you will not use your sata drives at all... bcoz sata drivers are still not stable on nforce ata... so choice is up to you... slow boot but stable system later and dvd will burn as well as mount everything normal... or all hdds work but not very stable and no dvd burning stable.... let me know... Mysticus C*
yes it's booting.. i said a few posts above u must of missed it. things that arnt working include sound and lan and obviously i didnt install any drivers so its runny pritty slow but at least its booting sorry i guess missed that line I told you that you were doing something wrong, and i m sure it was most likely your wrong hdd on the boot order! anyways... it is booting now? now, continue to the update part... on my guide on post#2 see the system and gfx update to 10.5.2 under install guide... follow the guide carefully... when you come to the gfx update, in addition to the selected stuffs, go to device drivers section, for vga/nvidia and select correct nvinject memory for sound; select hd audio stereo... for lan: nothing to do for on board lan, there is no driver that works correctly or stable for on board lan... and other nics like 8139/8169 and some other nics which they work with old drivers, but have problems with dropping connection and/or freeze with some programs... so for network, your only working solution is a one of the wireless cards I mentioned on the post#2 at the very beginning part... read that part... and once done, report back, pls... (if nvinject in the driver doesnt work, boot to safe mode and delete it and from single user mode, "-v -x" boot, you can install your own working one which you got from nvinject website... and boot with -v -f next time... to make sure it will load correctly... thats why most people have troubles i guess... guide is there, but people make their own choices... it messes up some drivers and makes it diffucult to troubleshoot it as you guys claim that you do everything correct where you give misleading information... and I mean it, some of you guys, do not read the guide correctly or do not understand it and choose their own mix of kernels and drivers w/o really knowing what they are doing, and bang... Mysticus C*
The partitions are quite small will i be able to remove the 2 unused 1s and increase the size of the main when im done? 50gb partition each is not considered small... unless you are working with files of 30-40 gb each... which you never mentioned if you intended... and no to partition size and removal... it is important to have extra partitions for a newbie like you... once you learn everything correct you can have one partition only system if you like... and for the size part, you may need to start over to change the partition size unless you use 3rd party programs which has a danger of bricking entire install... so better to start fresh once you have an idea about what you wanna do with osx... but 2nd-3rd partitions should not be less than 10 gb for good opearation even intention is for testing... and did you finish update and everything?
