NinjaKai
Like the topic says, I'm confused on this point in the process. I have the kalyway 10.5.1 iso. Can I install 10.5 on my hackintosh without first installing 10.4? Or is the current process reliant on first installing 10.4? Deviant0ne
You do not need to start with a working Tiger install to install Kaly's 10.5.1 distro. That DVD will act as a stand-alone install. 39thRonin
There is no need to start with Tiger at this point. There are several really good Leopard DVD's out that incorporate most - if not all - of the fixes needed by most folks to get Leopard running. Personally, I've been installing Mac OX on my Dell since the deadmoo image days, and have ALWAYS done a native install. Since I am not concerned about running Windoze at all, or linux, it was much easier to simply blow away the disk and install my Mac bits... NinjaKai
Wonderful, thanks everyone. I was reading the guide for the P5NSLI motherboard and the author had used Kalyway + 10.4 and I was unclear if both were necessary. Korrupted
Another way you can do it is with Windows + the Leopard flat image, but not many people use that anymore.
