I was looking at some videos in youtube about Leopard in PC and saw that all these PC's in the "about this mac", "more info" and hardware details, they have serial number... WTF. I thought this serial number was only available in real macs, how do you guys got serial numbers in your hackintosh? :)

The wonders of PC-EFI and associated KEXTs gives a serial number in about this mac

I have EFI and everything else is stock, nothing in my system is patched. But I don't have that serial number, do you have to do it manually or what is the magic here?

I think that everyone that is using Kalyway have the same serial number. I tried iATKOS 10.5.1 and did not have a serial number either, so maybe it is just the Kalyway disk that has it

You mentioned you tried iAtkos? I have an iAtkos disk and I cant get it to even boot...

Thanks for your respond, that's probably why, I did not try Kalyway because I don't want to download an extra 2GB more, so that's why I downloaded only iATKOS.

PC-EFI comes with AppleSMBIOS.kext. This needs to be copied to your externsions directory (remember to backup the original). Once this is installed correctly, reboot and About this Mac will show correct CPU Frequency, serial nubmer will show up, etc
