glassJAw
How much of a brick wall would I hit by trying to Port Adium to Windows? I know it uses Obj C but I read that Obj C works in Windows. I'd then have to get ride of Cocoa and replace it with Windows. Do you guys think it would work out? I think this is the best AIM client out there and would like to get it to work on Windows. glassJAw
Are you saying that Pidgin is a port of Adium or it's the equivalent. Because it doesn't look like the equivalent or a port of Adium. Axalon
Adium uses libpurple for all it's IM protocol support. libpurple is written by the Pidgin team. In essense, they're just different frontends. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79195-porting-adium-to-windows/#findComment-561153 Share on other sites
glassJAw
I wanted to capture the same frontend of Adium for windows. I find Pidgin to be rather plain and ugly. I know that's a little thing but when you use Adium and go to another IM client they just don't seem the same. Colonel
Have you tried the latest build of Pidgin for Windows? It seems to blend right into the Windows interface.
