Install MAC, when install is done it will boot back into windows. then install EasyBCD and add the MAC option to your MBR. that's it :(

so i will create new partition for MAC

install it there. and r u sure that he will boot into windows ? and i already have this easy bcd boot manager

First of all thank to everyone who has helped get this dvd install working well,

Its running great on my desktop and I even have full hardware graphic support

thanks to the NVinject installers

But just for kicks and giggles, what does the "system=X86PC" boot flag really do?

Im not using it, but was wondering if I should or not?

Thanks

But now I'm stuck with the create-account-freeze bug. Any news about that (without installing tiger in the first place)?

It helped (on my machine) to boot again into the DVD get a console and delete all NVidia-stuff (NV* and GeF*) under /Volumes/Leopard/System/Library/Extensions/

After that I could create an account, boot into Leopard and install the appropriate kexts.

Perhaps this helps

where did u download ur copy ?

Ok, Last two questions:

(besides not knowing what the "system=x86pc" boot flag does)

1. I cant seem to find the Mach Reboot fixer page, I checked the wiki and it said it was in this forum somewhere?

(not too big of a deal, i just need to manually resart the computer instead of osx doing it for me)

2. Can I install the Security Update 2007-009 from the "Software Updates" menu in Leopard?

(I have installed everything else program wise (itunes,quicktime...) but not the Security one yet?

Just wondering if anyone else has with no problems, I have Leopard running nice and fast, and dont

want to take any chances right now.

Thanks everyone.

I successfully installed Leopard and now I'm stuck at the Account Creation menu. Whenever I create an account it will load forever. I've seen some people talking about thiss issue earlier in this topic but I didn't find any way to fix it.

I have no previous OSX installation so I can't recover an older account. Thanks for your help.

My rig:

AMD Athlon 3200+ SSE3

ASUS A8N-E

GeForce 7800 GT

1GB DDR-3200

250GB SATA HDD

Install osx.4 create an account then upgrade to osx.5 and transfer the account from there.

Thanx

Just wanted to report here that IT WORKED!

First time I installed this Leopard, it just didn't boot, and I got the please insert disc bla bla bla

What I did:

1) Installed UpHuck v1.4a (ONLY mac os x 10.4.9)

2) Installed Leopard 10.5.1 AMD

Got to the bootloader, loaded but gave a kernel panic.

3) Booted with -x (and yeeh, it worked!)

4) Installed the ATI X1900XT driver, and removed GeForce.kext

5) Removed -v and - legacy

And there we go :)

System seemed very verryyy slow, so I googled a little bit and found at that it is pretty normal that the system is slow when you update from tiger to leopard. So removed everything, installed leopard again, and still, same problem, no boot menu..

Then I read somwhere that you need to active your partion. So I booted from the dvd, got into the terminal and typed:

fdisk -e /dev/rdiskx

update

f x

w

q

reboot

Now I that Darwin bootloader showed up. Still had to boot with -x and remove the GeForce.kext to avoid a kernel panic.

Hope this helps some people that can only boot from the dvd, or don't see the darwin bootloader show up :(

ROM Revision: NVinject 0.2.0

OS: Zephyroth V1 + Zephyroth Universal NVidia Installer

Try installing NVinject 0.2.1, for me (NVidia 8800GT 512MB) CI/QE started to work only after I installed that after Zephyroth Universal.

hey, Ive been having trouble installing and running OSX leopard using the DVD (thanks to Zephyroth to making the ISO and providing so much support)

I have an HP Pavilion Dv 8000 (listed on the osx86 wiki as a compatible computer for 10.5.1 and Im following the described install method)

So far I have been able to install Leopard (I came across the "about a minute left" issue, and solved it using the wiki)

But now that I've installed it, once I've taken the DVD out, It comes up with a repeated message of

"Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (builld 082)

Copyright © 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

For Realtek RTL8139(X)/8130/810X PCI Fast Ethernet Controller v2.13 (020326)

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable

PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM."

Basic specs are below;

  • AMD Turion-64 ML-32 (1.8GHz/512KB L2 Cache)
  • 1280MB 333MHz DDR SDRAM (200-pin SODIMM)
  • 120GB 4200RPM HD
  • 17-inch Ultra Brightview WXGA+ screen
  • 128MB ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory
  • DVD+/-RW/R & CW-RW Combo w/Double Layer Support
  • Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN

I've run CPUZ and can get any other specs from there that you'd like, I can run SSE, SSE2 SSE3 and x86-64

Thanks for any possible help!

ok so i just plugged in a usb mouse and all was well. got done with the install after rebooting with the freeze of about a minute, and finished install. rebooted and nothing. i took the dvd out and got a flashing _ symbol and a black screen. rebooted with the dvd and booted in -x and it just loaded back into the dvd. i tried the /usr/misc/script.sh Leopard command in terminal with the response of no such directory. i tried hitting f8 on dvd boot and typing cpus=1 no luck just boots onto the dvd. and the installer starts up again. I'm not knowledged about kexts at all and not much if any knowledge on terminal commands. below are my computer specs... Please help

@7eventh

I already deleted them after the kernel panic.

I did the same. So I'm still stuck with this issue. Any other opinions/suggestions/hints?

Thx,
