Korrupted
So I got my hands on Photoshop CS3, and I can install it fine, and er..patched it..anyway. So, whenever I try to open it, it just immediately closes with no errors or anything. So I took a peek into Console and saw this: ([0x0-0x15015].com.adobe.Photoshop[267]): posix_spawnp("/Volumes/Mac Data/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop CS3", ...): Permission denied ([0x0-0x15015].com.adobe.Photoshop[267]): Exited with exit code: 1 Anyone have any ideas how I can get it to launch? EDIT BELOW: So I did chmod -R 777 on the .app, and it'll open, but now it just crashes. Here's the log as an attachment, to save on space on the forum. jvangent100
Did you patch it ? It runs absolutely fine on my machine, but I needed to patch it, otherwise it would immidiately crash. Brywalker
You don't need to patch it, you just need the 1.0.11 AppleSMBIOS.kext from Paulicat. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/71681-photoshop-cs3/#findComment-508420 Share on other sites

BJMoose
The vanilla appleSMBIOS.kext, v.1.12 which you can strip with pacifist from the original disk, work perfectly with both CS3 and FCS2. On my system it caused no change in the system profiler or the about this mac. KellyKelly
I can't even get to install it, it stuck on "installing share component" then my cpus gets to 100% on both core. So I open activity monitor and found out that syslogd us about 121% and hdiutil uses about 67% and is opened by adobe setup. I tried replacing AppleSMBios.kext but no help at all. I also clean all my system cache but it just won't work! Can any one help me with this thanks!
