Hi, all

Please, somebody, help me to find HDA_133a1.tar for my asus g1s-x3.

I've installed Kalyway 10.5.1 and by Azalia I haven't got a sound from line out yet.

I found a link to this topic to download it, but couldn't find a place here to do it.

omg, i just linked to one, and another one is few post later. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...;p=525900

please, learn to read

Taruga just opened his own sound forum. It seems patcher V2, with auto identifier for codecs and audio auto patcher, is almost out. Taruga says that the betas are working almost perfectly.

new forum: http://wiki.taruga.net/

go there and post your problems on the TRACKERS section. All those that managed to get AppleHDA and ALCinject working should also go there and help building a sound codec database, with their model references.

i got Kalyway's Mac OS X 10.5.2 running with sound and i fixed my keyboard issue by deleting one of the ps2 kexts. i could have sworn i seen a page with the attansic l1 ethernet kext, but now i cant't seem to find it :D .

I've seen it too some months ago. The project, then, was stopped and there wasn't a suitable and stable version of the kext. I bought a Realtek net card instead

Hi to all!

I have an asus a8sc notebook, a kalyway 10.5.1 and the patched asus bios.

I installed leo with vanilla kernel and efi mbr, I can boot using the dvd (without any options except for rd=diskXsY).

Then I tried to apply this guide ... without success :P

I have some questions:

1) my system has not /etc/rc ... have I to create a blank file and insert only the instructions in the guide (2 strings)? Or in leo there is another "rc" file?

2) assumed i created an rc file and the makemkext (assigning to it the 777 permissions), i edited the boot.plist and i extracted from the leo dvd the kext files i have to replace the original acpi kexts. I have only 4 acpi kext, is it right for leo? I tried to extract them from a jas 10.4.8 and the acpi kexts are 7.

3) I created PlugIn folder in AppleACPIPlatform.kext, then i placed in that the other leopard acpi kexts and finally replaced the original ACPIPlatform and the APIC, is it right?

4) using diskutil i can't restore permission, so i used kexthelper application ... then makemkext

5) reboot without dvd but the notebook reboot itself, so i have to add -x option in darwin (booting from dvd it isn't necessary). The system load for a bit, then freeze:

"using 10485 buffer ...

extension "com.apple.driver.acpi_smc_platformplugin" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style"

Some suggestion?

Thanks

i hope v2 patcher will help me. i'll buy a WUSB54GC wifi card later this month, so if it works, i'll have a completely working leo! yey :)

I've installed, five minutes ago, a Mac Airport Extreme Card 802.11n 300 M and got rid of Intel ABG3945.

The only two things that don't work on my Asus F3Jc are: integrated Syntek webcam and Ricoh's card reader. ;)

this tutorial is for tiger :P

we are working on a leopard tutorial for f3 series with antaholics, it'll be released later this month.

if you have this "using 10485 buffer..." error, you have to use this tutorial , it supports 10.5.1

remember to use -f and cpus=1 as kernel flags

Guest undefined
cpus=1 isn't required ... i have the patched bios so both cores are working :wallbash:

I will try the other tutorial for 10485 ...

tnx a lot!

seriously? you have the patched bios like in my signature?

it fixes the 10485 too, so the problem is propably in your installation process. tell me what things did you select from customize menu please.

Uhm ...

i have the patched bios (the installation dvd boots without cpus=1 ... ) but, after installation, the system didn't boot without the dvd ( i don't remember the error ... ).

I had installed only vanilla kernel and efi mbr.

Now i have the "modified" system, can i remove the changes and restore de kexts from dvd or have i to reinstall all?

I reinstalled leopard (vanilla + efi).

First reboot works only with dvd ... then i make the account and, when i rebooted again, all worked without dvd ...

...

;)

Now i have to find how to install nvidia card, wifi, sound etc etc

Thanks to all!

Apple bundled UVC webcam drivers so most UVC webcams should work.

I've been looking EVERYWHERE for the past day or two trying to remap my fn key, to no success. If you find anything, let me know! (so far, turning volume up and down is still annoying). Otherwise, I found out how to connect my sony ericsson phone to use as a remote for iTunes

I'll try AlexIT's sound kexts when I get the chance...

Still looking into webcam... been digging around ebay for days on end, trying to get a really cheap webcam (I don't use it that often, but I want to do a little bit of video recording to play around on iMovie and Final Cut Express) that works with OS X. It's hard

Is your webcam upside down. I have the same webcam it works the the picture is upside down is there anyway i can correct it so that i'm hang on the ceiling when infact i'm sitting in a chair infront of the laptop!

That's a know issue with some Asus notebooks.

The camera is mounted upside-down and only shows correct picture in MS Win.

Try using iGlasses. If you have installed Leo on a hackintosh, I suppose you know where to look for it.

It provides additional camera controls (including rotation) for almost all applications.

BTW, what is the camera in your F3?

MaX

even Ricoh Memory Card Reader and Intel 3945 A/B/G Wifi?

Ricoh Memory Card Reader and Intel 3945 A/B/G Wifi are not working replace the intel 3945 with a Broadcom 4311 abg works like a charm. Rich Memory card is not working either

I'm running Kalyway 10.5.2 with Vanilla kernel 9.2

Notebook: F3JP

Can anyone give me the dev id's for ALC660 that i have to edit the info.plist files with or can anyone with this notebook give me the ALCinject and AppleHDA files already modified, i have already tryed HDA_129a4

But i need the correct id's which related to ICH7, ive read a few f3jp users got it to work, please let me know

i've got everything working except Intel 3945 wireless, modem, webcam, card reader

I'm currently working on the card reader, as there is modified files which could get it to work

Thankyou

Josh

Don't forget to post if you get the card reader to work ;)

There is a lot of usefull information here. And it seems lots of people are using Asus Laptops with MacOSX :(

If there is any interest in doing it, I could set up a decent solid website for Asus Macs so that we can organize all the resources available alittle better than just a long forum thread.

Or would that be a waste?

Cheers!
