Dual Xeon in a G5 case

Well, since everybody is showing off what they built, this is what we put together at work. It's a dual Xeon 2.8. It does not run OSX yet, but we hope we can get it going.

Looks sweet! Where you get the g5 case? Did a mac die in the making of this mod? :)

Dunno where he got his from, but such cases can be found regularly on ebay.

It was a case that had a bad serial power connecter, so it had to be replaced. The backside of the G5 case is cut out, and we mounted a standard ATX frame and backside in it. It turned out really nice I think. I will take some picks of the backside later.

Yep, I agree. That's the first solution I have seen yet that I would call aesthetically pleasing from the ground up. Really nice work. Unlike the dreadful example from above, this miserable piece of trash, held together with nuts and bolts. Puzzles me why people with such a bad taste are keen on getting a PowerMac G5 case.

I'm selling a G5 case. I have it now on EBAY. I got it to mod my Hackintosh, but I have no time :(
