Vishal
It says to "choose where you want to install Mac OS...etc," However, it doesnt list any hard drives. My hard drive is reformatted but does it need to be a FAT32??? I am running a Intel Pentium M Processor 1.70GHz 1280Mb
midlandskatecom
You probably have a SATA drive and OSX86 is best with PATA.
~pcwiz
Yes it needs to be FAT32. If it is still not recognized, you need a PATA drive or an external USB/FireWire drive to install to.
Uoila1
The installer might not see it, but the question is "does disk utility see it" Open disk utility from the menu at the top of the screen, and if that sees your disk, then its not a SATA/PATA problem. If it shows up in disk utility, then try formatting it to native HFS+ (Mac OS Journaled) and then reboot and then check again to see if it shows up in the install menu. ~pcwiz
Some OS X DVDs will recognize drives even if they aren't formatted as FAT32 but some (like JaS) need the partition to be formatted as FAT32 even for Disk Utility to recognize it. Riaz
hi, I have Uphuck 10.4.9 r4i v3 and also Kalyway 10.4.10. I tried to install for Hcntsh 01 listed on my signature. It has a ICH8 controller mobo, IDE harddisk and a SATA DVD drive. Installation starts and when I go to my disk utility, it is not listing my IDE HD. But my SATA HD Drive is listed. Wondering how to show IDE HD and install on that? thanks in advance Riaz.
Toaster37
Try opening up DiskUtil to reformat the hard drive. THen see if OSX detects it.
