madhur
Well I love a couple a things about Leopard..let me rephrase that, I love mostly everything about Leopard. Here are my favs, 1) Apple Mail - Love those features, mailing through apple mail is going to be soooooo chic. 2) Ichat AV - Love the background feature, plus gtalk integration, photobooth effects 3) Spaces - Spaces is going to make my life more easier than ever...... 4) Quicklook - Sounds very useful. 5) Time Machine - Now finally something that I may or may not use though still very innovative. What are you guys exited about or have enjoyed using in the BETA'S .. HackerName
Pretty much everything about the new Finder. All the new graphical updates. CoverFlow. Spotlight that works. SmartFolders that aren't too slow to be useful. QuickLook!! wisequark
As someone who deals with massively large photoshop files on a daily basis, once you go Quick Look you just cant bring yourself to go back. derandrew09: resolution independence isn't in Leopard as a user feature - it's merely enabled for developers to fudge with so we can future proof our apps for the time when Apple does decide to flip the switch. Likely 10.6 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64115-your-favorite-leopard-features/#findComment-454309 Share on other sites
HackerName
Yeah. Resolution independence was equally implemented in Tiger. Leopard only updates a few new user elements (close buttons, textfields and scrollbars). Other than that it's as buggy and useless as it ever was. We can only hope for 10.6 to remedy this Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64115-your-favorite-leopard-features/#findComment-454654 Share on other sites
mr.manatane
2.Resolution Independence( i want to set it to .75, this makes me feel like i have a lot more room on my screen) Isn't this feature removed ? Apple don't speak about it anymore. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64115-your-favorite-leopard-features/#findComment-454925 Share on other sites

lookmark
Isn't this feature removed ? Apple don't speak about it anymore. All but, I'm afraid. It's just about as buggy and unfinished as it was in Tiger. graphxks
As a web designer and graphic artist, I LOVE the cover flow directory preview. No more picking through thumbnails trying to remember what I named the $^&*( image file for something I did 6 months ago.... Ayanami
I think most people will agree that Cover Flow is one of the best additions to Leo. Complete genius! Time Machine is pretty nice for those of us who have large external HDs (which I don't). Disk Utility has a few new options that are really nice (aka, non-destructive partition editing). Stacks are pretty useful. I love the smaller text for the left side bar. That makes things lots, lots and LOTS easier. And the ones you pick stay the same for all your Finder windows...unlike Windows itself.
