The Koolkal or the PascalW This is updating from Uphuck's 10.4.9 to .10 I'm on Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59368-which-10410-update/ Share on other sites
BJMoose
Both worked fine on my system. I stuck with koolkal, but not for any compatibility reasons. Just re-installed with uphuck's 1.4r3. guitaristz
EDIT: Monitor out range error. Well I just did the update and at reboot I get a black screen. I used the PascalW version. How can I get back to 10.4.9? I updated from the Uphuck DVD 10.4.9 The only reason to update was iWork 08 which asked for it. antic
I've tried the 10.4.10 update using Koolkal from Jas 10.4.8 & 10.4.9. Both upgraded without any problems. BJMoose
I've tried the 10.4.10 update using Koolkal from Jas 10.4.8 & 10.4.9. Both upgraded without any problems. I've only been using uphuck's releases since 10.4.10 arrived on the scene. Just for my knowledge, are you saying that you had to first install JaS 10.4.8, then update to .9 (which version did you use) and then use Koolkal's updater? Or did you go right from .8 to .10? Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59368-which-10410-update/#findComment-425825 Share on other sites
emway
Kookal messed up my uphuck 1.4i r3 install. Even after a fresh install. Didn't completed the post-update-scripts, stopped with an error to try again, didn't work. After reboot system crashes. So I stay with 10.4.9 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59368-which-10410-update/#findComment-437034 Share on other sites
Davejb
Hi. I looked around the threads but did not find what I'm looking for. I have to as which 10.4.10 worked well for you? The Koolkal or the PascalW This is updating from Uphuck's 10.4.9 to .10 I'm on Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 I've used the Pascal 10.4.10 successfully on an uphuck 10.4.9 and a Jas 10.4.8 installation. The uphuck was on a system with an Asus P4P800-E motherboard with a P4 3.0 hyperthread. The same uphuck DVD crashed and burned when trying to install on a system with an Asus P5L-VM 1394 motherboard with a P4 3.2 hyperthread, the Jas 10.4.8 version installed fine, I did have to reinstall the Intel 950 driver from the Jas DVD after installing the Pascal 10.4.10 update as the graphics resolution was stuck at 1024x768.
