[DMCA Violation Edited by Hagar] This is for sse3 that only need the no NX patch to the kernel.Also If you have a NX cpu you can use this patch aswell. I used the Maxxuss_SeedUpdate8F1111A.pkg.Then I added the SSE3 kernel with only the No NX/DX Patch to build a 1111a installer package and added it to the 10.4.3 1111 install along with the JaS 1111 patches package. Whats does this PPF give you ? jfman Posted December 13, 2005 Share Posted December 13, 2005 I had been using the SSE2 patcher you did before for 8F1111 (the SSE3 wouldn't get to the installer). However this one installs fine using a Dell Dimension 5100 with Pentium 4 551 (3.40Ghz). The network adapter doesn't work without editing a kext file (to add the device id) then repairing the permissions using disk utility. I've done this before but this time it causes a kernel panic during boot. I'm reading around for an answer though. After download + install of ppf o matic, i get this message: PPF-O-Matic supports only PFP v1.0, v2.0 and v3.0 patch files. If i rename the file extension with .ppf i get the same thing. I'm running this option on a real mac too. Can you give me any pointers please? Anyone else had this problem? Now, after installed whole system, on the first reboot, after "welcome" video, my keyboard/mouse doesn't works!! I tried with kb+mouse both PS2, kb+mouse both Apple usb, and both together!! My keyboard doesn't work and i can't finish installation... What am i to do? The only thing to do is to put out AppleFPMemDriver.kext from /System/Library/Extensions In this way, keyboard and mouse (both usb), works perfect. I was able to install in an external 250gb Lacie USB 2.0 harddrive! All works pretty, but i think i will use my existing 10.4.1->10.4.3 that is more stable. Download the Jas patch. hit his link, choose free option on the download page / scroll to base of page and see the 'wait for 25seconds' message. Time may be different but if it's in the minutes just re-open the link. 2. Extract downloaded file with stuffit (Mac) or add .zip extension (PC) 3. Install PPF patcher software and then double click the ppf file (downloaded file not application icon). This will open the application and ask for the mounted/converted iso file. Choose file and hit patch. 4. If you see an error message - 'check privileges' then you need to right click (mac) the iso file and choose 'Get Info' followed by expanding 'ownership' + 'details'. In details check that owner is set to you and 'Group' is set you. Hit patch and your up and running. 5. Once patched, use disk utility to burn the iso file to cd. Once burned, re-boot hit Del on your keyboard and set the bios to boot from CD. On install choose custom and remove all the extra 2.1gig print drivers you won't be needing. Notes on concerting DMG to iso files: http://win2osx.net/wiki/index.php/10-4-3-8...d_8F1111_Status Convert DMG to ISO and mount as read/write in OS X 1. Open the terminal and type sudo -s, then login. 2. Convert the dmg to an iso by typing: hdiutil convert /location/of/file.dmg -format UDTO -o /location/of/file.iso 3. Now we will mount the ISO file as a writeable DVD, so that we can copy over the patches. Do this by typing: hdiutil attach -readwrite /location/of/file.iso 4. Apply the patches and instructions that you find here in the WIKI. GooberKing Posted December 19, 2005 Share Posted December 19, 2005 Sorry for sounding dumb but how do I know if I need the No NX/DX Patch? What is NX/DX? I searched to forums but nobody actually says what it is, they all just talk about patches. I have an Asrock Dual-775 mobo with P4 3Ghz CPU (SSE3). The motherboard has onboard intel graphics, however I also had a GeForce 6600 in there (PCIX) as I dual boot in to windows, I am guessing I need to disable the GeForce and enable Intel graphics for OSX to run? The only problem is: the "network" in "system preference" does not work, it crashes as soon as I click the "config" button. Do you have a fix for that?
