Hi.

Now that everything works alright on my computer, I have been taking care of other issues.

One thing that I don't like is the bootloader (the visuals, cause it is very useful). It has a blue

background and it is similar to a blue Command Prompt.

I have used other boot loader, such as grub, lilo, windows boot manager, darwin, and acronis (nice,

but not working)

Is there a bootloader that is as nice as the one from BootCamp?

Please list your experiences with BootLoaders.

Can I use easybcd to boot OSX (which I have in my first drive) and XP (which I have in my second drive).

I'm asking cause I made a little weird installation.. when I installed XP there was no drive except drive B and the same when I installed OSX.

Now when I want to boot to XP I change the boot sequence in bios.

Downloaded and Installed, I added the Mac entry, but, whe I try to enter, it goes into a Loop.

I select Mac, the screen goes black, and then, it returns to the Windows Boot Manager.

The same happens if I add Chain0.

What can be happening.

Windows Boot Manager is not Eye Candy, but it has a cool design.

JSN,

This loop is because by default the Darwin boot loader which loads when you select OS X defaults to the active partition (your Windows XP). Once you select os x, very quickly begin hitting the F8 key, and that will allow you to select your OS X partition. A more permanent solution is to edit your boot.plist file on OS X and give yourself about a 5 second timeout. You then will have about 5 second to select the OS X partition.

I know, it sounds like a lot of work to boot each time, but it really isn't. It adds all of about two seconds to my boot time. As soon as I select OS X, I get the 5 second count down where you can press any key to specify your boot options. I simply hit the down arrow twice (once as the "any key" then once to scroll down and select my OS X partition). Hit enter and boom you are booting OS X.

Hi guys, use this tboot in the same way as Chain0 will avoid the loop problem.
