So I buy an AsRock Conroe 1333 DVI board, figuring, great deal, it's got dual monitors built in. It does, but what I didn't know was that the DVI daughtercard is DVD-D out only, and both my monitors are VGA-only. So much for that bright idea--no such thing as a cheap adapter for DVD-D to VGA.

Back to square one: I need a cheap way to get dual screens on a hackintosh. Any suggestions for a card that's known to work? I don't need super-duper mega graphics, and getting an ATI x1900-ish card would be about the same price as just buying a DVI monitor. I'm looking to spend a lot less cash than that.

Any ideas? System details follow:

Asrock Conroe 1333 DVI mobo, C2D 6400 (2.4GHz)

2GB RAM

SATA 500GB HD

SATA LG DVD-RW-DL

IDE DVD-RW-DL

OS X 10.4.9, updated from JaS 10.4.8 SSE2/3 AMD-Intel installer, kernel 8.9.1.

Did you use the Natit v0.2 dual? The regular Natit is only for one monitor. The video will go off for about 15 seconds during boot, but don't get worried and reboot. It's normal.

Yep. No joy. Tried installing manually and with Diabolik's installer, still nothing from the DVI port.

Is it going to take a full re-install to get this to work?
