Wow! It works! I'm typing this in 8f1111 right now!

Question for you JaS... how can I verify which kernel it is using? (ie: SSE3, SSE3 emulation, etc.?)

Thanks for all your hard work! (And especially a thanks to Maxxuss, without whom we wouldn't even have these patches!)

Your only useing the sse3 emulation if your cpu does not have sse3 present on the chip.

After reading a bit more I noticed there were'nt an extensions kext or folder in my *.iso , that should mean there are no appleps2controller.kext in my iso hence the keyboard not working right? (see post above)..

if that's the case it appears there's a problem with you ppf patch..

I patched the iso in windows with ppf o matic, same as with 10.4.1 ..

The extension folder is deledted from the dvd yes.It shouldn't be there.Teh extensions.mkexts shouls be. under system/library/

If it was a problem with my patch .... do you think all these other people here and on win2osx would have been able to install ????????

Maybe you need to use transmac to show hiden files and folders on the iso?

Also if the md5 of the unpatched iso is not correct then it will not patch the iso proper

I have had someone else tell me about this. And that seemed to be the case

oh, ok.. no need to take offense, I'm ever greatfull for everyone helping us run x86! Where can I find the correct md5 for the unpatched iso? Didn't run any checks, although ppf o matic reported success..

any idea about how to resolve the keyboard error? if there is something wrong with my ps2controller there is no way I can replace it cause I cant move my mouse... I'll try to plug in my apple pro mouse and see what happens..

thanks

Hi there,

I'm working with

Marklar-Tiger.iso

MD5=E78FE52E30A1F8C5B29D4B7932A16C5E

Maybe this isn't "8f1111", but I'm not familiar with that term

When I try to apply the PPF Patch, i get "binblock/patchvalidation failed. continue?"

Now, I'm all for saying,"weee!!!" and pray it works, but I thought i'd see what you think before I burn a coaster!

Macgirl sent me over here, I attempted to copy Darwin Kext's to this disk and kernel sparks flew when I booted. (it paniced). So I thought I'd give this a shot.

Background: "waiting for root device" is what i'm getting while booting. Obviously it isn't recoginizing me, i need teh drivers :-D

AMD 64 3700+ SSE3

Nforce 4 Chipset

ASUS A8N-SLI Motherboard

The iso you have is the initial version that circulated, which is 8f1025 and which is 10.4.1. The 8f1111 patch will not work on anything besides 8f1111. You can find patches for your iso here:

EDIT: Removed content violating DMCA

and look for the 10.4.1 items.

Ah ha! Congrats, you've made me look like a n00b :( Which I am, but nevertheless, Thanks!

Unforunately, I didn't know what version I was dealing with. Now moving forward with 8f1111.

Now that I think about it, I was using 10.4.1 when I transferred the Kext's from Darwin to that image. Should've worked now that I know I was using the appropriate version. Eh, might as well move on with the new image, I'll post my results. :gathering:

Hi.

I used this patch to patch my .iso but when I try to install the systel, I get a kernel panic just after the language choice, or sometimes during the installation.

I have a dual Xeon 1.7GHz.

Is there a solution? 8F1099 is currently installed on my HD.

Thanks.
