Stony
If I put in various DVDs or CDs into my drive, open its media and let after it "idle" the drive a bit (don't use it for some minutes) the drive won't eject the CD/DVD anymore. I tried several way to let the drive open, but nothing works (pushing the drives button, draggin from desktop into eject field and and and). Can someone help me? The DVD drive is also not seen in NOT seen in the About This Mac at this point. Upon restart, the DVD drive is fully functional. 100% supported in About This Mac. Thanks for any help. Mr.Sticky
This may not be quite the same issue, but i've had dvd's stuck in my drive because the OS doesnt read them. F12 does not eject the correct dvd drive (it openes the other one! so i launched Toast which has an eject option, and allowed me to get the dVD out. Greasy Breakfast
using the 'Eject' button on my Apple Keyboard seems to trigger this. my Pioneer DVDR drive stops responding to a manual open, becomes invisible to Apple system profiler, and OSX launches the "this is a blank disc" popup. My solution? Drag the disc to trash....
