hi guys,

 

i've made a package that allow 100% work motherboard:

 

Asus P5B Deluxe / wifi (all the pacth work full)

maybe:

Asus P5B

Asus P5B-E

 

And the most important pacth perhaps similar mobo like DS3, DS4 And ICH8 and Jmicron Motherboard.

 

The install is ad hoc and the patch are deselectable.

 

This all you need to 100% work p5b deluxe on osx

This Pack is only for P5B Deluxe/wifi Intel P965 motherboard or similar

 

Especially designed to work on Semthex's "Koolkal" 10.4.9 Universall(may 3).

 

This pack contain the following:

Azalia Audio fix

Jmicro SATA/IDE fix

Marvell Gigabit Ethernet (88E8001)

Jas 10.4.8 ICH8/ICH8R

Misico MStk ICH8R Patch v.1.1

Ps/2 port fix for 10.4.8

10.4.8 USB driver (IOUSBFamily-261.4.2)

 

Audio fix

You will get only OUT 100% green out work.

For now not work IN.

 

Jmicro SATA/IDE fix

100% work sata in IDE or AHCI mode.

potresti per favore spiegarmi la tua patch cosa migliora visto che mi funziona tutto alla perfezione tranno l'audio che è solo a 2 canali?

 

io sto cercando una soluzione per fare funzionare l'audio in 5.1 e se possibile anche il line in

mi verrebbe molto molto comodo visto che uso programmi audio di registrazione e mixaggio e devo usare xp o vista quando faccio queste cose e ultimamente sono passato completamente a osx.....

i got ASUS P5B. i've installed azalia with this pack and i got sound now!

i install RealtekR1000_release pack for my nic to work (from https://sourceforge.net/projects/realtekr1000)

 

it works after restarts but when i shut down my pc, it's gone. i need to install it again to get my nic work.

 

any ideas?

I am able to get my Asus P5B deluxe to work before I found this post. I installed a variety of patches to get everything work (except for sleep, hardware RAID, and sound - I don't need the onboard sound).

 

I'm getting a sustained transfer rate of 55 to 65MB/s from Jmicron and ICH8 thru SATA. I got both ethernet ports working, but I added an add-on gigabyte card because the 2nd port is way too slow.

 

Now I found this post. My question is: My system seems to work now. Do I still need this patch? Is there something new with this patch that I am missing? Am I able to go beyond the 55-65MB/s transfer rate? Most importantly, can I get sleep to work stably with this patch?

 

My ultimate question is: I have a seemingly working system now. Am I gonna benefit from it if I spend the extra day or two to reinstall everything with this patch?

Your package is about people who already did install macosx on p5b mobo..

What about us who didnt? Can you give us an advice how to do that?

I have e6600 with p5b deluxe..My main problem is that I have IDE dvd and sata HDD..

I cant boot with IDE dvd and hdd, so I got an external usb dvd drive..

When I start the installing my macosx setup doesnt see my SATA disc where I want to install my system..

I already have XP on other Sata hdds , striped and it works great..

I have 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSE2 SSe3 with ppf1 and ppf2 on dvd..

 

What are my options before I get into macosx and apply your patches for 100% mobo work?

Which image shall I install with and which patches do I need?

What to choose in bios (ide,raid or ahci) and what to do to make my sata hdd work?

 

Please clear those things for me, cause you've had an succesfull instalation..

I'm sure that p5b fellas would like to hear how the procedure goes..

I had all but given up, some patches I had tried did not work. This did it all, I'm not doing a clean install and can start using OS X as my main machine (already own a Mac Mini, but it's used as an encoding box/media server) I can't afford a Mac Pro right now, and really wanted to do my own build anyways. Thanks so much for this, it sure made my life much simpler!

Do both onboard ethernet ports work or just one and anyone got them going at 1Gb or just 100Mb?

Does the onboard wireless work and is it recognised as an Airport?

 

The Audio controller only does output not input at the moment, right?

 

JMicron® JMB363 PATA and SATA controller

- 1 x UltraDMA 133/100/66 for up to 2 PATA devices - does this work?

- 1 x Internal SATA 3.0 Gb/s port - this does work right?

- 1 x External SATA 3.0 Gb/s port (SATA On-the-Go) - I suppose this works if the internal one works.

I was able to get all ICH8-R Ports (+ jmb controller) working on my p5b-deluxe by installing the package then by following this post here (adding the device id's as detailled in the post):

Mine isn't working, and I didn't see it in patch notes, but it says 100% working patch.

if you install both the Jmicron package and your ICH8R package, aren't you going to overwrite one set of kexts with the other one?

 

 

i have a P5B Deluxe and using your deluxe pack, i had trouble getting my disks all working. maybe because of the above issue?

 

i detailed how i got everything working for me with the P5B Deluxe in a post on your other thread on the ICH8 ICH8R package here. i hope some of that will help with the next version of your deluxe pack.

I write to you looking for help on my P5B Deluxe WiFi/AP.

 

I did everything to get it working using your installer and finally, after 1 1/2 days nonstop I got it and went to update imediately. But just after installing 10.4.9 from Jas.10.4.9.Combo.Update.Intel.SSE3, system wouldn´t boot anymore. It just went all the way up to the point where the screen turns off for 20sec then back on again. But then, I have no image on video. I´ll give you all the specs and if you would please tell me which installation DVD you used for your system and how did you get it updated to 10.4.9? I need desperatly FCP2 working on this machine.

 

My install DVD is JAS 10.4.8 famous DVD.

MOBO P5b deluxe wifi/ap

Intel C2D 1.83

graphics card is evga PCI-E16x e-geforce 7600GT 256MB 1VGA 1DVI 1SVideo

2Gb A-DATA ram

Maxtor Diamond Max 21 250GB Harddisk

2x Sony DVD IDE drives.

 

PS.: Using your installer, I had to use some kext editing to get ICH8R and Jmicron working. But if there´s a easier way, please tell me. Also, altough I got everything working, sometimes after booting one of the hardware pieces wouldn´t work at that boot. Like audio or LAN or Jmicron. What are the expected speed for xbench?

this package worked perfectly for me. I Installed the osx86 10.4.9 RC4i, using a SATA dvd drive(IDE Drives DO NOT WORK, Samsung 18x dvdrw - £25 msquared.co.uk) and installed the Natit ATi graphics drivers for the Sapphire X1650 Pro graphics card (plus additional drivers found on this site...more details on this later). I completed the installation and ran the drivers, after reboot...IT ALL WORKED!
