Soündless
you burn it to a dvd, boot up off of it, instal the necessary extra packages. nothing is ever as good as a real mac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48524-moved-running-os-x-on-my-pc/#findComment-347611 Share on other sites
Jedlmind
Do you use it to record?? how is it?? I only plan on getting the hard ware to get it to work and leaving it alone..... Therfore i should end up with a DAW that works most of the time right?? emig647
Soundless, I gotta disagree with you on the real mac thing. The one I just built (asus p5w dh deluxe / e6700 / 7900gs) is pulling faster single cpu benches and open gl benches than a 2.66 mac pro with a x1900xt. It's fast, and works perfectly. The only difference I can tell is the difference of booting into single user mode. Jedlmind
Soo........ do you guys think I will ever be able to get the OS to work well enough to record music, plug my camera into, and Edit??? From reading some posts I get the feeling that if im not educated enough in computer tech and will not get all the reasons for the switch to work...... Is it possible for one to get Grageband and all of the camera stuff to work flawlessly for a 17yr old kid with minimal experience??? I do not want to put more then 25Hrs into this whole thing.... Although i do injoy to learn if it is possible.. I just do not want to jump into this with out knowing that it is possible to get a stable DAW, and will be able to use it on a day to day basis with out worring about things not working........... But yeah .... any insight would be helpfull Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48524-moved-running-os-x-on-my-pc/#findComment-347866 Share on other sites
SaberSHO
Well, if you want things to work flawlessly, your only choice is to buy a real mac or custom build a comp with very specific parts. if you ahve the right parts, the install is very easy, if not...it can be a real hassle. Specifically to you hardware tho, your screwed on the video card, which to my knowledge is not supported, which means no forms of video editing or anything like that. And i seriously doubt that your recording sound card will be supported, but i might be wrong on that one.... Sry to be the bearer of bad news bud :\ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48524-moved-running-os-x-on-my-pc/#findComment-347870 Share on other sites

MikeHunt79
So I'm guessing the 1212m doesn't work then - I have once also..... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48524-moved-running-os-x-on-my-pc/#findComment-566099 Share on other sites
