  1. ApplePCIIDE.kext

FYI, this worked for me for a SYBA SD-SATA-4P with a blu-ray drive on port 0. Thank you!!!!
  2. Anybody have this package available? The link seems to not be transferring. thanks EDIT: Nevermind, let it spin for about 5 minutes and it finally kicked in. THANKS!
  3. Not sure if anyone is subscribed to this any more... But I've built two machines with this board. One is just a server and encoding machine. The other is a gaming computer (my wife's). The server has a 9600gt and she has a 9800gt (both are EVGA). She seems to have applications crash a lot on the mac side (completely stable on the vista side). The server is 100% stable, usually an uptime of 60+ days before I reboot it. I've ran memtest, and it checked out fine. I've ran prime95 and cpu burn-in on the vista side and it checked out fine hardware wise. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I'm leaning towards the graphics card as being the issue. Anyone have any suggestions for a decent gaming card that is compatible with 10.5.8 and decent at gaming?
  4. I see you have iATKOS in your signature. This is a vanilla install thread. If you are using a vanilla install, when / where are you getting that error?
  5. Can you give detailed instructions on this? I'm a little confused about how you did this.
  6. It's a full install. Just like the dev seeds.
  7. I'm only having the pop noise during cider games... but I'm going to ask you some questions to compare notes. A) how is your audio configured? What port are you using? when you hooked up your front audio did you configure it with a HD Audio plug or AC'97?
  8. Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try. This is actually my second build using the UD3R... but the first one is still on 10.5.6 with different audio drivers and I did select headphone jack. But it's plugged into the blue one on the back. This one seems to be a bit different with these new audio kexts. I'll post an update when I mess with it more. It's actually my wife's gaming computer.
  9. Is anyone else getting problems with popping sounds in Cider games? It's almost like an infinite loop of sound in Warhammer online, Sims 3, and Need for Speed Carbon all give popping sounds. I used the Legacy 4outs2ins analog regualr headphone drivers and selected a Line Out "Built-in Line Output". I have tried the green, blue, and black ports on the back. How do you guys have your speakers connected? Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is the last hiccup in making this machine.
  10. Everything is working (was). I was coming from Fedora Core 10 and was trying to convert my ext3 drives to HFS+... long story short... toasted my install and my ext3 thanks to windows and a ext2 file system. Anyways, the one issue I had left was I noticed there was a drop shadow on the mouse but had QE and CoreImage enabled. This was just from the EFI string being installed.... no NV* kexts. Anyone else experience that?
  11. I think I found part of my problem... OSX86Tools isn't updating my com file in my Extras. Anyone else experience this?
  12. I think I found part of my problem... OSX86Tools isn't updating my com file in my Extras. Anyone else experience this? (oops wrong thread). I've had success getting this board going... But for you guys on the 10.5.7 Audio might want to try this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1155661
  13. Do they hurt anything?
  14. Thanks for the tips, I'll give them a shot. Hopefully I can find the EFI string and I don't need to fight it too much more. I think I've reinstalled about 5 times so far This is for 10.5.7 right?
  15. Thank you to everyone for their help on this. I kept trying the other method and kept coming up short. So I have 2 issues left. I used NVInject and added the device id to the bios with OSX86tools for my Gigabyte 9600gt 512mb. It added Quarts GL, but Quartz Extreme isn't working... any advice on that would be appreciated. Lastly, Chameleon isn't automatically starting with the 5 second rule. I tried both UInstaller and OSX86tools... other than that it' working great so far.
