guiyoforward
hi there, for those working on a new DVD (you know who you are!), many thanks for your effort. if the gma x3000 is nothing but a rebadged and overclocked version of gma 950, it would be great to have a new dvd release that works with x3000 out of the box, apparently it's just a matter of adding some device ids into the info plist this would be greart - getting support even before apple actually adopts this hardware platform! I guess it's only a matter of time before we see the minis with core 2 duo and gma x3000 thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47599-1049-dvd-wishlist-gma-x3000/ Share on other sites
mifki
Once somebody actually shows that the gma is just a overclocked 950, which it is not, and they show it working with qe/ci (which wont be till the mac-mini's have a gma 3000 in them as far as im concerned) then making a package wont be hard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47599-1049-dvd-wishlist-gma-x3000/#findComment-340895 Share on other sites

God I want a 8800GTX fully working in my Hackintosh Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47599-1049-dvd-wishlist-gma-x3000/#findComment-340946 Share on other sites
guiyoforward
thanks kiko. not good news for me but I thought the "overclocked 950" was kind of a myth. have you actually tried an x3000? there's always the possibility that apple will use a SLIGHT variation of gma3000 in order to get us all frustrated! mifki
not as far as i know, gma 3000 is a whole new architecture, its actually designed to play games . Wait till new mac-mini's, we can always use it even if they change it (like efi ati and nvidia cards) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47599-1049-dvd-wishlist-gma-x3000/#findComment-340993 Share on other sites
Wardialer
yeah, IT was "designed" to play games... but the drivers weren't. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47599-1049-dvd-wishlist-gma-x3000/#findComment-379224 Share on other sites
Dr. Hurt
yeah, IT was "designed" to play games... but the drivers weren't. Yeah, drivers for it are still bad even on windows. Intel promised the final (non-beta) drivers to unlock it's full potential in august.
