mcdull
Are there any software availble to clone the entire OSX partition or disk into an image? Especially for hackintosh. I know ghost can do the job but it creates a 30G image for a 30G partition. Lactobacillus P
Acronis True Image can also do the Job, it is possible to select compression which makes the image a bit smaller. But the images are RAW sector copies and no distinction is made between filespace and empty sectors. gotoh
you can even create an image of your currently running OS X partition using diskutility, have it compressed, and restore it when you boot from an OS X install disk... only thing required after that is restoring/vreating a valid MBR and bootloader. I made a clone image of the Mac partition saving it in the NTFS partition with the Norton Ghost (within Windows). The 30GB Mac partition was compressed in a 11GB file.
