To search on the Demonoid...

Would it mess up anything if I added the applications from Linux?
from Linux? It is Mac OS X light!

Many programs for Mac OS X will not work on this disk - because demand presence of libraries which are only in the complete version of Mac OS X.

With each program it is necessary to understand.

Great project Kismus!

Just booted up and it looks promising.

One problem though. It looks like you've used the DiskUtility from the Install DVD, unfortunately it's not fully functional. When you want to restore an image, drag'n'drop doesn't work.

Other than that, keep up the good work,

The Baron

Mount an image for record:

hdiutil attach -readwrite /Yor path/KismusHackintoshTools.iso -owners on

Also copy the programs in a folder of the Applications

I did this, copied the working DiskUtility (9.6mb) from a working 4.9 install and reburned the iso. Booted up, and can now drag'n'drop images to restore.

Thanks for this very useful tool.

In KHT it is used Disk Uttiliy 10.5.4 (198.9)

It is the old version - so it is made specially.

Only this version is completely compatible to the partition table of the Hackintosh.

OK, I'll have a play around with it. I really needed a boot DVD to allow me to restore a SuperDuper image. The install DVD diskutility doesn't work http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303694

I thought this was the one you used, as I couldn't get the restore to drag'n'drop.

The 10.5.8 seems ok, but if like you say there's a problem, I'll have a go at booting up, and have a look at it,

Thanks,

I assume, that you cannot boot from the restored partition
This is modbins work.

At least give him some acknowledgement.

Thanks Dragon :)

This live dvd looks like a modified install dvd - installer replaced with Xfolders

I discussed this last year:

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...t=0&start=0

if you want to load finder instead of Xfolders you have to paste in some frameworks and stuff.

Could someone pm me the Kismus rc and rc.cdrom files?

modbin

Do not judge precipitately

Unfortunately, to me works of dear modbin were not known.:)

Thanks Dragon :)

rc and rc.cdrom you can take files on any install DVD

These files differ nothing from standard.

© Apple? (c) JaS?

To change rc and rc.cdrom files there was no necessity.

Dear modbin!

Why you never gave publicly the ready image of a disk?

I with pleasure would download it.

It is simple. For example, my image has the size 252 MB (in archive).
