ALFIONE
Hi,this is my first topic here. I've search everywere but no one can help me... I have Os10.4.6 installed on a sata maxtor and this is my system: ASUS P5LD2 INTEL CORE 2 DUO 6600 CONROE MANY HARD DRIVES 1GB RAM ATI RADEON X550 ON PCI EXPRESS (DUAL SCREEN) This is my problem: I have a TERRATEC PHASE88 installed on PCI bus, working perfectly on XP, but OsX say "hardware not found" everytime I launch the "control panel" application. The instruction manual say that in osx drivers aren't necessary, because coremidi and coreaudio control the soundcard perfectly. Why my hackintosh can't see this card? Please help me, i want to kill window definitively from my system.... I've read that with my mainboard I can create a fully functional Mac.... ....maybe not really important, my on board audio is ok (only audio out) with Azalia... Excuse me for my english Thanks for everything you will do for me. VooD
Probably due to the fact there is no real Intel Mac with PCI ports, so developers doesn´t see any need for writing intel pci drivers for osx. There are some pci audio cards which works but these are exceptions... elRey
as lord_muad_dib says, no driver no sound. if all the cards are pci, they wont run, cause there are no intel-macs with pci slots. the only pci-audio-card running is RME hammerfall, they've built a driver with intelmac support. get usb or firewire cards. starobrno1
I´ve got the same problem with my M Audio Delta 1010 Pci does´nt get recognized (running kalyway Leo os) so with Pci just forget it. I also have a Phonic firefly 302 Firewire (really cheap card pretty ok) and a Focusrite Saffire Pro 10i/o Firewire (semipro) both works but I´m getting dropouts in the sound from both so before you buy a new soundcard be sure to check out your Mobo/computers Firewire options really works 100%. I don´t know about USB cards they might be better but I don´t think a USB soundcard with options/performance close to the Phase 88 would be easy to find or for that matter even close to cheap. Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45746-where-is-my-soundcard/#findComment-618253 Share on other sites
