Sorry to revive an old thread Where did you get the wiring diagrams for the psu swap ? I have a 2011 iMac with a suspected busted psu and would love to try with one of my ATX psu´s
  2. fermi/gtx 480/gtx 470

Loosing my mind here... Had Asus GTX 470 working nice but had to reinstall SL a couple of weeks ago, now I get a blank screen no matter what I do (just when sl gui is about to start) Gigabyte EP45-DS3 F10a bios Asus GTX 470 (10de/06cd) Running SL 10.6.4 S/L/E : FakeSMC stuff E/E : HDAEnabler, IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector, LegacyHDA, RealtekRTL81xx, SleepEnabler Drivers from 1. post, NVDAGF100Hal.kext loads during boot Chameleon-2.0-RC5-r629 as bootloader, get same bug with bootloader in Fermipackage. GraphicsEnabler=Yes PciRoot=0 (Also changed DSDT.aml value to 0) Tried With 1, both in DSDT and com.apple.boot, same bug Have been struggling with this on my spare time lately and of course googled around, I apologize if this has been explained earlier What am I missing here ?

    Happy to be of assistance
  4. 10.6.2 blew up my hackintosh *PICS*

I had the same problem in 64bit mode...Nvidia driver I dont know what kind of a bootloader you are using but for PC_efi etc you boot 32 bit by adding : arch=i386 and not -x32
  5. Official Realtec drivers works for me.. http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downlo...p;GetDown=false
  6. To change CPU type if not automatically detected do the following : In terminal type: “sysctl -n machdep.cpu.brand_string” The result i am presented with is : Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q9450 @ 2.66GHz Edit file : “/System/Library/CoreServices/Resources/English.lproj/AppleSystemInfo.strings“ Change the following line : “UnknownCPUKind” = “Unknown” to “UnknownCPUKind”= “Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q9450″ You do not have to restart to see the changes in effect, just close About This Mac and reopen and you will see the correct information. 7. There has to be a way, I will never surrender. DSDT glory Do you do 32 or 64 with Snow ? I remember I could wake from sleep with USB input on 10.5.6 - 7 or something, but 10.5.8 made me give up sleep Think it was something about disabling usb legacy in BIOS. Anyway, got to get some real sleep.
  8. 2 versions of Snow Leopard?

Try booting with -x64. I think PCEFI v10.x use those cmd´s, although they are also supposed to boot 64bit by default so maybe your puters not capable. I can boot mine in both modes, but use 32 since it works best on my machine..Some strange GFX kp`s
  9. I have the exact same problem only it is when minimizing Console from full screen. com.apple.Geforce(6.0.0) causes a KP immediatly. Very strange indeed. SL GM, x64, dsdt(gfx, lan, audio)Cham+PCEFI v10.1 Have not tried to reproduce it with EFI string GFX.. How do you initialize your gfx card ?
  10. try different bios settings..worked for me (ata,ide,achi..etc) dont remember at this time what settings I used to install, sry.
