XoVoX
Now, after I got QE/CI and resolution change, I was going mad about the mouse tearing. I tryed the the other solutions to solve that problem but they all doesn't work well. Now I found a way to completly solve this problem with my USB-Mouse! Download USB-Overdrive 10.4.5 and install it. Thats all! Mouse tearing has gone completly! It works for me and many friends, so I think it will work for mostly every USB-Mouse user. A nice side effect from these driver is that nearly every button from your mouse is usable like in XP Please post your experiences in this thread. (New Info: sometimes when using the mousewheel the tearing sometimes appear, but in all other ways it's 100% gone ) - XoVoX Edited February 20, 2007 by XoVoX
hecker
Hi there! Unfortunately this didn't work for me (K8TNeo2, Venice AMD, ATI Radeon9800 Pro) The tearing is somewhat better but not nearly as good as when I use Mighty Mouse (the software, not the apple mouse of course). hecker Edited February 20, 2007 by hecker

Barretron
heyyy pretty good! i installed this and set the acceleration to 200% and it looks like most of the tearing is gone! a much better solution than mouse locater! unfortunately i use my scroll wheel like a demon so that's still an issue, but a LOT better than before. thanks! loonymonkey
Sorry im a noob. What is mouse tearing, and how can I tell if I have QE/CI working ? My mouse works, but its a PITA. Seems slow, and not very accurate. Maybe I have to get use to it coming from Windows??

Angel Bunny
I know this is a really noobish question (being a new user to osx and all), but how do I uninstall this program? I removed USBoverdrive.kext from the extensions folder but it still loads up.
