zackint0sh
i have a 7600gs, i've found things working well w/ natit + the opengl frameworks and relevant kexts from 10.4.8. I'm running semthex's 8.8.1 kernel. i wouldn't think you'd need a full reinstall in any case.
sg
toss macvidia and get it to boot with the default vesa drivers. once it boots and you can confirm that it works you should try and install natit and get your card fully working with opengl etc.
curlyboy
Try booting in safe mode and then reinstall drivers

errandwolfe
If you haven't made any changes, you should have a countdown at boot right as the darwin bootloader activates. When you see this prompt hit "-x" and it will boot you into safe mode. If you do not have that pause at boot, you need to hit F8 as quickly as possible when you boot. Once you get into safe mode, remove the Macvidia software. Reboot and make sure VESA mode works. Once it does, DiaboliK has created a fantastic installer for the 7600 GS and GT. Here is the link.
