Didn't investigate it so can't tell what causes it. Running JAS 10.4.8 SSE2/3 Intel on p5ld2deluxe+asus eax1600xt silent This one is most annoing problem so far Just found on some other forum -- Stuffit 11 is cousing it. Or more specific the contextual menu plugin located in /Library/Contextual Menu Items. Trash that and your Mac should be fine again.
