Hola...

I've recently been thinking about purchasing a new video card for my hackintosh/XP dual boot. However, having an artist for a girlfriend complicates things a bit...

She wants dual monitors.

So, What has worked for you people? I was thinking about picking up the Gigabit Radeon x1600Pro (being that I'm running 10.4.7, and the OSXProject hardware list had this as one of the better PCI-E cards working...)

Lemme know what has worked! I'd hate to grab something and have limited functionality.

Gracias.

BFG Geforce 7600GT, PCIe with dual DVI. 1600x1200x2. Bought it cause it was cheap. Works with dualhed Natit. I could run Specviewperf on it - looks OK but couldn't write the summary file. I can calibrate both monitors with either Spyder2 or Eyeone.

[edit] Oh, it's in 10.4.8... Not sure Natit would work in earlier versions...

So...thusfar we've got one person who actually runs dual monitors...

The card (7600GT) isn't much more expensive, and seems to do what I would like it to. I do have an update for 10.4.8 that I've been aprehensive to install, seeing that 10.4.7 is running flawlessly as it stands...

If anyone else is running dual monitors on their Mac, let me/us know. There's a few of us in here who would like to know if it is possible, and with what cards/methods.

Gracias.

im running dual monitors (capable of dual 30" :) ) with XFX cards (my preference) both the 7600GT pci-e 265mb and the 7600GS pci-e 256mb fanless edition. ive been using an editied version of bofor's dual screen natit.kext.

just click the link in my sig to get my installer and instructions for my installer.

* just to be safe upgrade to 10.4.8 with a 8.8.1 kernal ( semthex, mifki or daemonES dosent matter)*

i will be trying with an XFX 7300GS pci-e 256mb tonight so stay tuned for how that goes.

it doesn't do dual monitors or tv out AFAIK (i have tried) but it has working dvi

i've ACD 23" and old Nec 1560VM both DVI on XFX GeForce 7300 GT 256 mb.

using Natit_dual v1.02 and my card recognised correctly and fully supported!

doesn't need to edit any esle kext's, only put Natit in extensions folder.

Nvidia is a right way at the moment for Dual monitors setup,

With this XFX 7300, can you make your computer sleep properly ? If's very important for me.

So...Basically, from what I've seen here... So long as you choose an Nvidia card, you don't hanve an issue dual screening with Natit's patch...

If that, is in fact, so... Land me some instructions for the Natit fix - Take note - I'm lazy, and don't want to fix this {censored} on my own..;) Right now, I'm working with a single 21" monitor, but I will be switching to a DS soon...

Thanks again, guys.
