munky
I hate to say it, but this is precisely why I avoid pre-release versions of system patches. Sorry you've messed up your machine. How about an Archive and Install ? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41253-1049-macbook-pro-crash/#findComment-294892 Share on other sites
Soündless
yeah, i totally agree with you. i am doing an archive install right now. do you know if it keeps your documents and apps and music? if not i am in serius trouble Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41253-1049-macbook-pro-crash/#findComment-294934 Share on other sites
asap18
Yes thats the great thing about an archive and install, it keeps all your documents. movies, music and other settings, and puts your old "system files" in a folder which you can delete after you've reinstalled. I do it all the time with Leopard so as to revert back to Tiger if im not satisfied. munky
If its something like Leopard, I can see the point in installing beta versions, but not something as relatively mundane as a point upgrade to Tiger. I'm glad I wasnt tempted, and i'm glad you recovered your machine. Archive and Install is very cool. I was blown away by things like that when I first switched Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41253-1049-macbook-pro-crash/#findComment-295279 Share on other sites

willgonz
Archive and Install is very cool. I was blown away by things like that when I first switched And that's why I'm not afraid if my Mac gets Malware because it is simple to get things back up and running again. With Windows it's not so easy. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41253-1049-macbook-pro-crash/#findComment-296588 Share on other sites
sandmanfvrga
Like said and not be an ass, but you put PRE RELEASE code on there. You should never do that on a machine that is your everyday machine.
