DHL Driver Falsifies Delivery Information on Dell Monitor

We had a snow day here today. DHL was scheduled to deliver my new Dell Monitor today. They put on the tracking list that they attempted delivery, but they never came to my house. I called DHL up to ask the what was up and they said they would put in a formal complaint since the delivery person falsified the information. I wonder if customer service problems come in groups of three? lol

This is who Dell chose to make the Delivery. They usually use UPS. I guess they were trying to get to me sooner. Being home from work it would of been a nice day to mess around with it. The driver could have wrote, delayed due to bad weather. I would have understood that. Here's the funny part, I was outside my house playing with my kids in the snow when the driver claimed to have attempted the delivery.

i think you should blame the "litle man " on this one not the company. And by litle man i mean the delibery guy .

offtopic:so is snowing? here in Chile its like the Sun itself i m melting.

We had 2"-4" of snow this morning. Most of it is melted today.

edit: Zealot, I tend to agree. However, the driver does represent the company and has a direct impact on Service. Remember the Maillman in Seinfield? I updated the title, changing it to "DHL Driver..."

you mean Newman?right

i was just about to do a thread about Seinfeld.

do you need a coat i can send you one by .....DHL :( (not that funny)

greetings .

Actually, I've had this done to me by all the shipping companies. Usually they do deliver it the next day. If you had to drive around all day delivering packages, and it didn't look like you could make your quota, wouldn't you make {censored} up?

It seems most drivers for all carriers do.

I had an external Hard drive that was supposed to be delivered today. Due to the several inches of snow that we got in Denver, it never made it.

I'm now coming up on the 43rd consecutive day where I haven't seen the pavement on my street :(

Not saying it's a good practice, just saying it's a bad practice that everyone seems to take part in :)

Yeah it is a bad practice. I wonder what this guy will say to his boss when he/she asks him, so you didn't make that delivery even though you wrote down that you tried? Busted.

DHL: A Slow Boat to China?

From cal3098 on YouTube:

DHL appears to be on a downward spiral in the US, and it seems to have begun with this event of firing the professional company drivers and replacing them with lower paid independent contractors. By all accounts the result has been a disaster in the US. I have seen reports that they are currently losing about a million dollars a day. For more "insight" into DHL, you should check out the web site of exdhl.com. Very enlightening.

Fedex does that {censored} to me all the time. I was home waiting for my new phone to come and my dog started barking so I knew someone was outside. I looked out the window and there was the Fedex truck. So I dart downstairs and open the door and there is the Fedex guy doing something on his scanner and he says "Oh, I didn't think anyone was home." He didn't even knock or ring the doorbell (which is brand new). So it takes him a minute to cancel out whatever he was doing and he has me sign for the package. When Newegg used to only ship Fedex I always had to drive 15 minutes to the Fedex place to pick up my package. They would supposedly attempt the first delievery and then come back the next at the same {censored} time. Does that make any sense? If I'm not home at that time on Monday wtf makes you think I'll be home that same time on Tuesday? Instead of comming at 12PM again why not come around 4PM when I am home? This is why I like UPS, they get my {censored} to me within a reasonable time and they ring the door bell, drop the package, and bounce out of there to the next delivery. /rant

DHL apparently delivered the Package to the wrong address and not the Dell Monitor is currently missing. Someone by the name of G LOOR signed my package.

The Package is not at my house. DHL is now trying to track down the package. Great! Thanks DHL! I have been waiting 2 months for this package from the Dell ordeal.

DELL REP:

I have a problem.

DHL Tracking Number: 96987839583

DHL Delivered the package. But someone by the name of G LOOR Signed for it. No one by the name of G LOOR lives at my address.

DHL Also said they attempted delivery yesterday, but that was falsified by the driver because I was home at the time of the attempted delivery.

I do not have my new Dell Monitor. It's missing. I am frustrated.

Sincerely,

It says it was shipped to a business:

SOUTHERN GRAPHIC SYSTEMS

Charlotte, NC 28210

United States

and signed for by a receptionist.

That's the my company name (the company that I work for). It was supposed to by my name. The address on the package is correct. I received the speakers on my door step. I do not know what they did with the Monitor.

But it's not good customer service though, because the fight had to be made into an external one before anything was done about it. Many companies believe that the customer is NEVER right anymore.

In fact, I'm having to take a problem over to a LAWYER because of a bunch of {censored} that I've been going through in just trying to get a master's degree.
